Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
Never place the appliance underneath wall
cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard walls or other fl ammable objects.
Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface.
1) Remove all of the parts from the box and remove the packaging material and any protective fi lm.
2) Clean all of the components as described in the Chapter "Cleaning and care" to remove any packaging residue. Ensure that all parts are completely dry.
NOTE
The fi rst time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and odour may be generated due to production-related residue. This is completely normal and is completely harmless. Provide suffi cient ventilation by opening a window, for example.
5) Clean the stone griddle 1 as described in Chapter "Cleaning and Care".
6) Clean the pans 4 as described in Chapter "Cleaning and Care".
7) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before operating the appliance.
The appliance is now ready for use.

3) Place the appliance on a clean and level heatresistant surface. Ensure that you do not place the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard. Each person should have unimpaired access to one of the pans 4.
4) Place the stone griddle 1 on the base unit so that the stone griddle 1 is fi rmly in place.
5) Slide the pans 4 into the appliance.
6) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Before fi rst use
1) Slide the pans 4 into the appliance.
2) Move the ON/OFF switch 2 to "I" and allow the appliance to heat up for 20 minutes.
3) After 20 minutes, move the ON/OFF switch 2 back to "O".
4) Then disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
Operation
Raclette
1) Lightly oil the inside of the pans 4 and the top of the stone griddle 1.
2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
3) Move the ON/OFF switch 2 to "I". The integrated control lamp on the ON/OFF switch 2 lights up. If you only want to use the raclette, allow the appliance to heat up for 5 minutes. If you want to use the stone griddle 1 at the same time to grill food, wait around 20 minutes until the stone griddle 1 has heated up (see Chapter "Grill").
4) Fill the pans 4 with the desired ingredients. Ensure that the pans 4 are not overfi lled, otherwise the food could get too close to the heating element 3 and even touch it!
5) Put the pans 4 into the appliance. The slight recess in the appliance helps to keep the pans in place.

WARNING!
THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY!
Apart from the insulated handles, the pans 4
are extremely hot! The pans 4 must therefore only be held by the handle!

You can now refi ll the pan 4 and slide it back into the appliance.
NOTE
Because the pans 4 have a non-stick coating

8) Once you have fi nished using the appliance, move the ON/OFF switch 2 to "O". The integrated control lamp on the ON/OFF switch 2 goes off .
9) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
Grill
Using the stone griddle 1, you can simultaneously grill meat, fi sh or vegetables to accompany the raclette.

Place the food to be grilled onto the stone grid-
dle 1 and turn it occasionally as required.
