Safety instructions
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► To avoid danger, have defective plugs and/or power cables
replaced immediately by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer
Service Department.
► Do not allow the power cable to come into contact with hot
appliance parts. NEVER use the appliance near naked fl ames,
a hotplate or a heated oven.
► Do not expose the appliance to rain, and never use it in a humid
or wet environment. Ensure that the power cable never becomes
wet or moist during operation.
► Check the appliance for any visible external damage before use.
Do not use an appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
► The power cable must be checked for signs of damage at regular

intervals. If the power cable is damaged, the appliance may no
longer be used.
► The appliance must be connected to a mains socket with a pro-
tective earth.
► The appliance must not come into contact with moisture such as
rain or water.
NEVER immerse the appliance in water or other liquids!

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Children must not use the appliance as a plaything.
► Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children
unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
► Children younger than 8 years of age must be kept away from
the appliance and the power cable.
► After use, allow the appliance to cool down completely before
cleaning it. Risk of burns!
► Set up the appliance as close as possible to the electrical power
socket. Ensure that the power plug is quickly reachable in case of
danger, and also that there is no danger of tripping over the cable.
► Provide a stable location for the appliance.
Attention! Hot surface!
► Do not touch anything other than the ON/OFF switch while
the appliance is in use. The surfaces of the appliance become
extremely hot during use.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control
system to operate the appliance.
► Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.
► Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and the plug do not
come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or naked
fl ames.
► Do not use charcoal or similar fuels to operate the appliance!
► To protect the non-stick coating on the pans, do not use metallic
tools such as knives, forks, etc.
► Only operate the appliance with the provided original accessories.

Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
► Never place the appliance underneath wall
cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard
walls or other fl ammable objects.
► Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface.
1) Remove all of the parts from the box and
remove the packaging material and any
protective fi lm.
2) Clean all of the components as described in
the Chapter "Cleaning and care" to remove
any packaging residue. Ensure that all parts
are completely dry.
NOTE
The fi rst time the appliance heats up, a small
►
amount of smoke and odour may be generated due to production-related residue. This
is completely normal and is completely harmless. Provide suffi cient ventilation by opening
a window, for example.
5) Clean the stone griddle 1 as described in
Chapter "Cleaning and Care".
6) Clean the pans 4 as described in Chapter
"Cleaning and Care".
7) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before
operating the appliance.
The appliance is now ready for use.

3) Place the appliance on a clean and level heatresistant surface. Ensure that you do not place
the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard.
Each person should have unimpaired access to
one of the pans 4.
4) Place the stone griddle 1 on the base unit so
that the stone griddle 1 is fi rmly in place.
5) Slide the pans 4 into the appliance.
6) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Before fi rst use
1) Slide the pans 4 into the appliance.
2) Move the ON/OFF switch 2 to "I" and allow
the appliance to heat up for 20 minutes.
3) After 20 minutes, move the ON/OFF switch 2
back to "O".
4) Then disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
Operation
Raclette
1) Lightly oil the inside of the pans 4 and the top
of the stone griddle 1.
2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
3) Move the ON/OFF switch 2 to "I". The integrated control lamp on the ON/OFF switch 2
lights up. If you only want to use the raclette,
allow the appliance to heat up for 5 minutes.
If you want to use the stone griddle 1 at the
same time to grill food, wait around 20 minutes
until the stone griddle 1 has heated up (see
Chapter "Grill").
4) Fill the pans 4 with the desired ingredients.
Ensure that the pans 4 are not overfi lled,
otherwise the food could get too close to the
heating element 3 and even touch it!
5) Put the pans 4 into the appliance. The slight
recess in the appliance helps to keep the pans
in place.

6) Remove the pans 4 from the appliance as
soon as the contents are cooked.

WARNING!
THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY!
► Apart from the insulated handles, the pans 4
are extremely hot! The pans 4 must therefore
only be held by the handle!
7) Slide the contents of the pan 4 onto your
plate using the wooden spatula 5.
You can now refi ll the pan 4 and slide it back into
the appliance.
NOTE
Because the pans 4 have a non-stick coating
►
they do not have to be re-greased before
every use.
8) Once you have fi nished using the appliance,
move the ON/OFF switch 2 to "O". The integrated control lamp on the ON/OFF switch 2
goes off .
9) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
Grill
Using the stone griddle 1, you can simultaneously
grill meat, fi sh or vegetables to accompany the
raclette.
NOTE
The stone griddle 1 takes about 20 minutes
►
to heat up. Only then can you cook food on
the stone griddle 1!
■ Place the food to be grilled onto the stone grid-
dle 1 and turn it occasionally as required.
Cleaning and care
DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect
►
the plug from the mains power socket!
Risk of electric shock!
NEVER immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids!
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Always allow the appliance to cool down
before cleaning it. Otherwise there is a risk
of burns!
■ It is best to clean the appliance as soon as it has
cooled down. This makes food residue easier to
remove.
ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning
►
materials. These could damage the surface of
the appliance!
► Do not clean the components of the appli-
ance in a dishwasher!
■ Clean the appliance housing and the heating
coil 3 with a damp cloth. If necessary, put a
little mild detergent on the cloth and wipe this
off afterwards with clear water. Dry everything
properly.
■ Clean the stone griddle 1, the wooden spatula
5 and the pans 4 in warm soapy water. Dry
all parts properly after cleaning.
NOTE
Over time, the stone griddle 1 may become
►
slightly discoloured. This will not impair the
functionality of the griddle.

NOTE
You can also use a soft, non-abrasive sponge
►
to clean the stone griddle 1.
► To remove undesirable odours such as fi sh
smells, rub the stone griddle 1 down with a
little lemon juice.
Storage
■ Store the cleaned appliance in a clean, dust-free
and dry location.
