Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges Produkt entschieden. Die Bedie-
nungsanleitung ist Bestandteil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für
Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des
Produkts mit allen Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das
Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.

ist nicht zur Verwendung in gewerblichen oder industriellen Bereichen vorgesehen.
Ansprüche jeglicher Art wegen Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung, unsachgemäßen Reparaturen, unerlaubt vorgenommener Veränderungen
oder Verwendung nicht zugelassener Ersatzteile sind ausgeschlossen. Das Risiko
trägt allein der Betreiber.

Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die
folgenden Sicherheitshinweise:
■ Das Gerät darf nicht benutzt werden, falls es herunter gefallen
ist, wenn es sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist oder undicht ist.
■ Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort von
autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen,
um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

■ Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und älter und
von Personen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder
mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder
Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezü glich
des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und
die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben. Kinder
dü rfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und BenutzerWartung dü rfen nicht durch Kinder ohne Beaufsichtigung
durchgefü hrt werden.
■ Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■ Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten Fachbetrie-
ben oder dem Kundenservice durchführen. Durch unsachgemäße
Reparaturen können Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen. Zudem
erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
■ Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während der Garantiezeit darf nur
von einem vom Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst vorgenommen werden, sonst besteht bei nachfolgenden Schäden kein
Garantieanspruch mehr.
■ Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-Ersatzteile ausge-
tauscht werden. Nur bei diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet, dass sie
die Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllen werden.
■ Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf das Gerät, speziell nicht auf
den Verbindungsschlauch zwischen Basisstation und Bügeleisen.
■ Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von off enen Flammen
(z. B. Kerzen) betreiben.

GEFAHR DURCH ELEKTRISCHEN SCHLAG!
► Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte
und geerdete Netzsteckdose an. Die Netzspannung muss mit den
Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Gerätes übereinstimmen.
► Lassen Sie Anschlussleitungen bzw. Geräte, die nicht einwandfrei
funktionieren oder beschädigt wurden, sofort vom Kundendienst
reparieren oder austauschen.
► Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht weiter, wenn der Knickschutz am
Netzkabel beschädigt ist!
► Das Dampfbü geleisen und dessen Anschlussleitung mü ssen
während des Einschaltens oder Abkü hlens außer Reichweite von
Kindern sein, die jü nger als 8 Jahre alt sind.
► Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser ein. Wischen Sie es nur
mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch ab.
► Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht dem Regen aus und benutzen Sie es
auch niemals in feuchter oder nasser Umgebung.
► Fassen Sie das Netzkabel immer am Stecker an und ziehen Sie
nicht am Kabel selbst.
► Fassen Sie das Netzkabel oder den Netzstecker niemals mit
feuchten Händen an.
► Stellen Sie weder das Gerät, Möbelstücke o. Ä. auf das Netzka-
bel und achten Sie darauf, dass es nicht eingeklemmt wird.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlussleitung während des Be-
triebs niemals nass oder feucht wird.
► Sie dürfen das Gerätegehäuse nicht öff nen, das Gerät nicht
reparieren oder modifi zieren. Bei geöff netem Gehäuse oder
eigenmächtigen Umbauten besteht Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag und die Gewährleistung erlischt.

► Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser. Stellen Sie
deshalb keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände (z. B. Blumenvasen) auf oder neben das Gerät.
► Ziehen Sie nach Beenden des Bügelns, vor jeder Reinigung und
vor jedem Befüllen des Wassertanks den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose.
GEFAHR DURCH ELEKTRISCHEN SCHLAG!
► Stellen Sie das Bügeleisen immer auf der Abstellfl äche der Basis-
station ab. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, wenn
Sie das Bügeln unterbrechen.
GEFAHR DURCH VERBRÜHEN ODER VERBRENNEN!
Vorsicht, heiße Oberfl äche!
Während das Bügeleisen eingeschaltet ist sowie einige
Minuten nach dem Abschalten ist die Bügelsohle sehr
heiß. Berühren Sie dann niemals die Bügelsohle!
► Fassen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen nur am Griff an, wenn es heiß ist.
► Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie
nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
► Richten Sie den Dampfstrahl niemals auf Personen oder Tiere.
► Öff nen Sie den Dampfdruckbehälter niemals während des Ge-
brauchs. Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr durch heißen Dampf.
► Bügeln oder bedampfen Sie niemals Kleidung oder anderes
Gewebe, während es von Personen gehalten oder am Körper
getragen wird.

ACHTUNG SACHBESCHÄDIGUNG
Ein Warnhinweis dieser Gefahrenstufe kennzeichnet
einen möglichen Sachschaden.
Falls die Situation nicht vermieden wird, kann dies zu Sachschäden
führen.
► Das Dampfbügeleisen darf nicht unbeaufsichtigt gelassen wer-
den, während es am Netz angeschlossen ist.
► Verwenden Sie kein kohlensäurehaltiges Wasser im Gerät.
► Verwenden Sie das Gerät nie ohne Wasser, da sonst die Pumpe
durchbrennen könnte.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass weder Netzkabel noch Verbindungs-
schlauch in Kontakt mit der heißen Bügelsohle kommen.
► Verkratzen Sie die Bügelsohle nicht. Vermeiden Sie einen Kontakt
der Bügelsohle mit Metallteilen, wie z. B. Knöpfe oder Reißverschlüsse.
► Betreiben Sie das Dampfbügeleisen und die Basisstation nur auf
einer stabilen, geraden und ebenen Fläche.

HINWEISE
► Diese Dampfbügelstation ist mit einem Sicherheitsventil ausgestat-
tet, welches den in der Anheizphase entstehenden Überdruck im
Druckbehälter reguliert und überfl üssigen Dampf an der Dampfaustrittsdüse an der Unterseite der Bügelstation abführt. Hierdurch
kann es insbesonders nach dem Einschalten zu geringfügigem
Dampfaustritt kommen. Dieses Verhalten ist normal und dauert nur
wenige Sekunden an. Es liegt kein Defekt an Ihrer Dampfbügelstation vor.
► Falls beim Aufheizen des Geräts Dampf oder heiße Wassertropfen
aus dem Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraubverschluss austreten, schalten
Sie das Gerät aus und lassen Sie es abkühlen. Drehen Sie dann
den Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraubverschluss im Uhrzeigersinn und
ziehen Sie ihn fest an. Sollten weiterhin Dampf oder heiße Wassertropfen austreten, schalten Sie das Gerät aus und wenden Sie
sich an den Kundendienst.
► Versuchen Sie auf keinen Fall den Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraub-
verschluss abzuschrauben, solange die Dampfeinheit heiß ist und
unter Druck steht. Der Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraubverschluss lässt
sich nur im abgekühlten Zustand abschrauben.

WARNUNG
Bei der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes können Personen-
und Sachschäden auftreten!
Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise, um die Gefahren zu
vermeiden:
► Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum Spielen verwendet
werden. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
► Beachten Sie die Hinweise zum elektrischen Anschluss des Gerä-
tes, um Sachschäden zu vermeiden.
Lieferumfang und Transportinspektion
Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:
● Dampfbügelstation
● Bedienungsanleitung
HINWEIS
► Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare Schäden.
► Bei einer unvollständigen Lieferung oder Schäden infolge mangelhafter
V
erpackung oder durch Transport wenden Sie sich an die Service-Hotline
(siehe Kapitel Service).
Auspacken
♦ Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem
Karton.
♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.

Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien
sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten
ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
HINWEIS
► Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während der Garantiezeit
des Ger
ätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall ordnungsgemäß verpacken
zu können.
Anforderungen an den Aufstellort
Die Arbeitsfl äche, auf der Sie die Basisstation aufstellen, muss stabil, eben
und hitzebeständig sein.
Elektrischer Anschluss
♦ Stecken Sie den Stecker des Netzkabels in eine ordnungsgemäß an-
geschlossene und geerdete Netzsteckdose, die die im Kapitel „Technische
Daten“ genannte Spannung liefert.
Bedienung und Betrieb
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung und Betrieb des
Gerätes.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
♦ Reinigen Sie die Bügelsohle mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch.
♦ Um etwaige Rückstände von der Produktion zu entfernen, bügeln Sie einige
Male über ein altes, sauber
es Tuch.
HINWEIS
Das Gerät ist mit einem Sicherheitsventil ausgestattet, das den in der Aufheizphase entstehenden Über
druck im Druckbehälter reguliert und überfl üssigen
Dampf an der Dampfaustrittsdüse an der Unterseite der Bügelstation abführt.
Dadurch kann es insbesondere nach dem Einschalten zu geringfügigem
Dampfaustritt kommen. Dieses Verhalten ist normal und dauert nur wenige
Sekunden an. Es liegt kein Defekt an Ihrer Dampfbügelstation vor.

Wassertank befüllen
HINWEIS
Verwenden Sie nur Leitungswasser oder destilliertes Wasser.
Sollte das Leitungsw
asser Ihres Wohnortes zu hart sein, empfi ehlt es sich, das
Leitungswasser mit destilliertem Wasser zu mischen. Ansonsten können Kalkablagerungen die Funktionen des Gerätes beeintächtigen.
Mischen Sie das Leitungswasser mit destilliertem Wasser entsprechend der
Tabelle:

Wasser mit Zusätzen (wie Stärke, Parfüm, Weichspüler oder anderen Chemikalien) darf nicht in den Wassertank
gelangen. Das Gerät könnte dadurch
beschädigt werden, da sich Rückstände in der Dampfkammer bilden können.
Diese Rückstände können beim Ausfallen durch die Dampfaustrittsöff nungen
das Bügelgut verunreinigen.
♦ Greifen Sie in die Mulde des Wassertanks
und drücken Sie mit den
Fingerspitzen den Entriegelungshebel nach oben.
♦ Nehmen Sie den Wassertank
nach vorne heraus.
♦ Füllen Sie den Tank nur bis zur Maximalmarke.
♦ Schieben Sie den Wassertank
zurück in die Basisstation , bis er spürbar einrastet. Drücken Sie gegebenenfalls im oberen Bereich etwas fester
gegen den Wassertank , um sicherzustellen, dass dieser eingerastet ist
und sicher mit der Basisstation verbunden ist.
HINWEIS
► Kippen und schwenken Sie die Dampfstation nicht bei vollem Wassertank .
Ansonsten kann das Wasser aus der Einfüllöff nung austreten.
► Füllen Sie den Wassertank vor dem ersten Gebrauch und sobald die
Anzeige „Wassertank leer“ erscheint.

Bügeln ohne Dampf
HINWEIS
Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler
und den Dampfregler immer auf die
kleinste Stufe, bevor Sie das Gerät einschalten. Die Symbole auf dem Temperaturregler
entsprechen folgenden Einstellungen:
● Synthetik – niedrigste Temperatur (70–120°C)
● ● Wolle, Seide – mittlere Temperatur (100–160°C)
● ● ● Baumwolle, Leinen – höchste Temperatur (140–210°C)
♦ Drücken Sie die Ein- / Aus-Taste
, um das Gerät einzuschalten. Die Anzei-
ge in der Taste sowie die Anzeige „Bügeleisen trocken“ leuchten auf.
HINWEIS
Leuchtet die Anzeige „Bügeleisen trocken“
nicht auf, ist die Heizkessel-
Taste
gedrückt. Drücken Sie diese Taste, um die Heizkesselfunktion
auszuschalten.
♦ Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler
und stellen Sie so die gewünschte
Bügeltemperatur ein.
♦ Die Temperatur-Anzeige

wieder an der Basisstation zu fi xieren, bringen
Sie den Verriegelungsschieber in die -Position. Dann können Sie das
Gerät über den Bügeleisen-Griff mit nur einer Hand tragen, wenn Sie zur
Vermeidung von Stolpergefahr zuvor den Verbindungsschlauch in die

Dampfbügeln
♦ Drücken Sie die Ein- / Aus-Taste , um das Gerät einzuschalten. Die
Anzeige in der Ein- / Aus-Taste
sowie die Anzeige „Bügeleisen trocken“
leuchten auf.
♦ Drücken Sie die Heizkessel-Taste
, um den Dampfbügel-Modus zu
aktivieren. Die Anzeige in der Heizkessel-Taste
leuchtet auf, die Anzeige
„Bügeleisen trocken“ erlischt.
HINWEIS
Der Heizkessel befi ndet sich im Geräteboden und wird automatisch über eine
Pumpe mit W
asser aus dem Wassertank
versorgt. Beim Aufheizen und
beim Nachfüllen des Kessels schaltet sich die Pumpe für einige Sekunden ein.
Dies erzeugt ein brummendes Betriebsgeräusch und man spürt Vibrationen am
Gerät. Das ist normal und kein Grund für Beanstandungen.
♦ Nach einigen Minuten leuchtet die Anzeige „Dampfbereitschaft“ auf.
♦ Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler
und stellen Sie so die gewünschte
Bügeltemperatur ein.
HINWEIS
Zum Dampfbügeln müssen Sie mindestens die mittlere Temperatur ● ● am

emperaturregler
einstellen.
♦ Die Temperatur-Anzeige
leuchtet während des Aufheizens. Sobald die
Temperatur-Anzeige erlischt, ist die eingestellte Temperatur erreicht und
Sie können mit dem Dampfbügeln beginnen.
♦ Stellen Sie mit dem Dampfregler
die gewünschte Dampfmenge ein.
Drehen Sie den Regler im Uhrzeigersinn, um die Dampfmenge zu erhöhen.
Drehen Sie ihn entgegengesetzt, um die Dampfmenge zu verringern.
♦ Sollte das Bügeleisen
über die Arretierung an der Basisstation
fi xiert sein, bringen Sie den Verriegelungsschieber in die -Position.
Nun können Sie das Bügeleisen von der Basisstation nehmen.
♦ Während Sie das Bügelgut bügeln, können Sie die Dampfstoß-Taste
drücken, um anhaltend Dampf aus der Bügelsohle auf das Bügelgut
zu geben. Drücken Sie die Dampfstop-Taste , um den Dampfausstoß zu
beenden.
HINWEIS
Wenn Sie nur einen kurzen Dampfstoß wünschen, drücken Sie nur kurz die
Dampfstop-T
aste
und lösen Sie diese wieder. Der Dampf tritt nur solange
aus der Bügelsohle , wie Sie die Taste gedrückt halten und stoppt beim
Loslassen.

und drücken Sie die Dampfstoß-Taste .
♦ Berühren Sie das Gewebe leicht mit der Bügelsohle
, um Falten zu
entfernen.
♦ Drücken Sie die Dampfstop-Taste
, um den Dampfausstoß zu beenden.
Wasser nachfüllen
HINWEIS
Sobald die Anzeige „Wassertank leer“
aufl euchtet, müssen Sie Wasser
nachfüllen. Siehe dazu Kapitel „Wassertank befüllen“.

► Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung stets den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
► Lassen Sie das Gerät ggf. erst vollständig abkühlen.
► Tauchen Sie das Gerät zum Reinigen auf keinen Fall in Wasser.
ACHTUNG
Beschädigung des Gerätes!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in das Gerät
eindringt, um eine irr
eparable Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden.
► Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung der Oberfl ächen weder scharfe Scheuer- oder
Lösungsmittel noch eine Drahtbürste oder andere scheuernde Gegenstände.
Gerät reinigen
■ Reinigen Sie die Oberfl ächen des Bügeleisens und der Basistation nur
mit einem weichen, leicht feuchten Tuch.
■ Nehmen Sie den Wassertank
ab und entleeren Sie ihn.
■ Drehen Sie den Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraubverschluss
gegen den Uhrzei-
gersinn aus dem Gewinde des Heizkessels.
HINWEIS
Der Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraubverschluss lässt sich nur abschrauben,
wenn das Gerät abgekühlt ist.
■ Schütten Sie das Restwasser aus dem Heizkessel in ein Waschbecken.
■ Gießen Sie ca. 150 ml Speiseessig (ca. 5-6%ig) in den Heizkessel.
■ Drehen Sie den Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraubverschluss
im Uhrzeigersinn in
das Gewinde des Heizkessels handfest an.
■ Schwenken Sie die Basisstation
einige Male und stellen Sie anschließend
das Gerät auf eine ebene gerade Fläche.
■ Nach ca. 15 bis 30 Minuten schrauben Sie den Calc / Lock / Safe-Schraub-
v
erschluss
wieder ab und schütten den Essig in ein Waschbecken.

■ Füllen Sie mit Hilfe eines Trichters etwas Wasser in den Heizkessel und
spülen Sie mehrmals durch.
■ Nachdem Sie den Heizkessel wieder geleert haben, schrauben Sie den Calc /

wieder in das Gewinde und ziehen ihn
handfest an.

earthed mains power sockets. Ensure that the rating for your local
power supply corresponds with the details on the rating plate of
the appliance.
► Arrange for Customer Services to repair or replace connecting
cables and/or appliances that are not functioning properly or

► Discontinue use of the appliance if the anti-kink protection on the

NOTES
► The steam iron station is equipped with a safety valve which regu-
lates the build-up of excess pressure in the pressure vessel during
the heating-up phase, and vents excess steam through the steam
outlets on the underside of the ironing station This means that
there may be a slight escape of steam after switching on. This is
normal behaviour and lasts just a few seconds It does not indicate
a defect in the steam iron station.
► If steam or hot water droplets escape from the Calc / Lock /
Safe screw cap during heating, switch off the appliance and let it
cool down. Turn the Calc / Lock / Safe screw cap clockwise and
tighten it. If steam or water droplets continue to leak out, switch
off the appliance and contact Customer Service.
► Under no circumstances should you try to unscrew the Calc /
Lock / Safe screw cap while the steam unit is hot and under pressure. The Calc / Lock / Safe screw cap can only be unscrewed
when the appliance has cooled down.

Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness
and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the war-
r
anty period so that the appliance can be packed properly for returning in
the event of a warranty claim.
Set-up location requirements
The surface on which you set up the base station must be stable, level and
heat resistant.
Electrical connection
♦ Plug the mains cable plug into a properly connected and earthed AC
power outlet which delivers the voltage given in the “Technical Data” section.
Handling and operation
This section provides you with important information on handling and using the
appliance.
Before initial use
♦ Clean the soleplate with a slightly damp cloth.
♦ To remove any production residues, iron several times over an old, clean cloth.

Filling the water tank
NOTE
Use only tap water or distilled water.
If the tap w
ater in your locality is rated as hard, it is a good idea to mix the
tap water with some distilled water. Otherwise, lime scale build-up could
impair the functionality of the appliance.
Mix the tap water with distilled water as described in the table below:

Water with additives (such as starch, perfume, conditioner or other chemicals)
may not be put into the water tank
. These could damage the appliance
as residues can form in the steam chamber. The residues could contaminate
clothing if they come out of the steam outlets.
♦ Reach into the recess on the water tank
and press the release catch
upwards with your fi ngertips.
♦ Pull the water tank
forwards and out.
♦ Fill the tank only up to the maximum limit.
♦ Push the water tank
back onto the base station until it clicks into place.
If necessary, press a little harder on the upper part of the water tank to
ensure that it has clicked into place and is securely connected to the base
station .
NOTE
► Do not tip or swing the steam station when it has a full water tank
.
Otherwise the water may spill out of the fi lling hole.
► Fill the water tank before fi rst use and as soon as the "Water tank
empty" indicator lights up.

Ironing without steam
NOTE
Always set the temperature control
and the steam control to the lowest
level before you switch on the appliance. The symbols on the temperature
control
correspond to the following settings:
● Synthetics – lowest temperature (70 – 120°C)
● ● Wool, silk – medium temperature (100 – 160°C)
● ● ● Cotton, linen – highest temperature (140 – 210°C)
♦ Press the on/off button
to switch on the appliance. The indicator in the
button as well as the “Iron dry” indicator light up.
NOTE
If the "Iron dry" indicator
does not light up, the boiler button is pressed.
Press this button to switch off the boiler function.
♦ Turn the temperature control
to set the desired ironing temperature.
♦ The temperature indicator
lights up while the appliance is heating up.
As soon as the temperature indicator goes out, the set temperature has
been reached and you can start ironing.
♦ If the iron
is fi xed to the base station using the catch , push the
catch release into the position. Now you can remove the iron
from the base station .
♦ After ironing, place the iron
on the base station stand .
Set the temperature control to “MIN”.
♦ Press the on/off button
to switch off the appliance. The indicator in the
On/off button
and the “Iron dry” indicator go out. To avoid tripping
hazards, place the connecting hose in the holder provided, pull the
mains plug out of the socket and press the cable retractor button .
♦ To fi x the iron
back onto the base station push the catch release
into the position. Then you can carry the appliance in just one hand using
the iron handle if you have previously placed the connecting hose in
the holder provided (to avoid a tripping hazard).

Steam ironing
♦ Press the on/off button to switch on the appliance. The indicator in the
On/off button
and the “Iron dry” indicator light up.
♦ Press the boiler button
to activate steam ironing mode. The indicator in
the boiler button
lights up, and the “Iron dry” indicator goes out.
NOTE
The boiler is located in the bottom of the appliance and is automatically supplied
w
ith water from the water tank
by means of a pump. During heating up
and refi lling the boiler, the pump switches on for a few seconds. This causes a
humming noise and you will feel the appliance vibrate. This is normal and is
not a reason for complaints.
♦ After a few minutes, the “Steam ready” indicator lights up.
♦ Turn the temperature control
to set the desired ironing temperature.
NOTE
For steam ironing you must set at least the medium temperature ● ● on the
temper
ature control
.
♦ The temperature indicator
lights up while the appliance is heating up.
As soon as the temperature indicator goes out, the set temperature has
been reached and you can start steam ironing.
♦ Set the steam control
to the desired steam setting. Turn the control
clockwise to increase the amount of steam. Turn it in the opposite direction
to reduce the amount of steam.
♦ If the iron
is fi xed to the base station using the catch , push the
catch release into the position. Now you can remove the iron
from the base station .
♦ While ironing, you can press the steam blast button
to give a continuing
blast of steam from the soleplate onto the clothes. Press the Steam stop
button to stop the steam output.
NOTE
If you only want a short steam blast, press the Steam stop button
briefl y
and then release it. The steam only comes out of the soleplate as long as
you hold down the button and stops when you release it.

NOTE
To switch to dry ironing while you are steam ironing, press the boiler button
to release it. The "Iron dry" indicator will light up and the indicator in the
boiler button
and then, a little later, the "Steam ready" indicator go out.
You can now iron without steam.
♦ After ironing, place the iron
on the stand of the base station . Set the
temperature control to “MIN”.
♦ Press the boiler button
to deactivate steam ironing mode. The indicator in
the boiler button
goes out.
♦ Press the on/off button
to switch off the appliance. All indicators go out.
To avoid tripping hazards, place the connecting hose in the holder
provided, pull the main plug out of the socket and press the cable retractor
button .
♦ To fi x the iron
back onto the base station push the catch release
into the position. Then you can carry the appliance in just one hand using
the iron handle if you have previously placed the connecting hose in
the holder provided (to avoid a tripping hazard).
Vertical steam ironing
♦ Hang the item to be ironed on a coat hanger that you hold fi rmly in one
hand.
♦ Hold the iron
in a vertical position with the other hand and press the
steam blast button .
♦ Touch the fabric lightly with the soleplate
to remove creases.
♦ Press the Steam stop button
to stop the steam output.
Refi lling the water
NOTE
As soon as the "Water tank empty" indicator
lights up, you must add more
water. See the section "Filling the water tank".
♦ Put the iron on the stand of the base station .
♦ Refi ll the water as described in the section “Filling the water tank”.

Cleaning

Cleaning the appliance
■ Clean the surfaces of the iron and the base station with a soft, damp
cloth only.
■ Remove the water tank
and empty it.
■ Unscrew the Calc / Lock / Safe screw cap
anticlockwise out of the
thread in the boiler.
NOTE
The Calc / Lock / Safe screw cap can only be unscrewed once the
appliance has cooled down.
■ Empty the remaining water out of the boiler into a sink.
■ Pour around 150 ml of vinegar (approx. 5–6% acidity) into the boiler.
■ Screw the Calc / Lock / Safe screw cap
anticlockwise into the thread in
the boiler.
■ Swirl the liquid in the base station
around a couple of times and then set
down the appliance on a level fl at surface.
■ After about 15 to 30 minutes, unscrew the Calc / Lock / Safe screw cap
again and tip the vinegar into a sink.

■ Use a funnel to add some water to the boiler and rinse it through several
times.
■ After you have emptied the boiler again, screw the Calc / Lock / Safe screw
cap
back into the thread and tighten it hand-tight.

Electronic Equipment).

municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable regulations. Please
