1 Foreword
Purpose of the operating manual
This document provides a step-by-step guide to setting up a remote connection between the SIPIX SD100 industrial Tablet PC (short Tablet PC) and a remote expert. In addition, it contains information on the use and functions of the audio / video collaboration software "SIPIX RC", the "HotTab" software and the connection set-up to a HART field device through a HART modem.

The SIPIX SD100 is a highly flexible and powerful Industry Tablet PC. The robust
and compact 10.1” display is designed for use in harsh industrial environments and
has been specifically developed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
2.1 Scope of application
The Tablet PC carries out the collection, processing, and (radio) transmission of data within and outside of potentially explosive atmospheres.
The scope of application of the Tablet PC lies primarily within remote access to field equipment and field service.
It supports remote access to field instruments
via PCS 7 and SIMATIC PDM or PDM as a stand-alone with permanent local SIMATIC PDM installation within a third-party process
control system/automation system that provides HART, PROFIBUS and Foundation Fieldbus and MODBUS communications.

4.1 General safety information
Do not dry wipe or clean equipment in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Do not open equipment in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Do not change or charge a battery in a potentially explosive atmosphere. General legal regulations or directives on occupational safety, accident
prevention regulations and environmental protection laws must be observed, such as the operational safety ordinance (BetrSichV) or the applicable national regulations.
Wear suitable clothing and footwear to reduce the risk of dangerous
electrostatic charges.
Avoid heat influences outside the specified temperature range. Protect the device from external influences.
Do not expose the device to corrosive/aggressive liquids, vapors or spray mist! In the event that the device malfunctions or the housing is damaged, immediately remove it from the potentially explosive atmosphere and move it to a safe place.

Conditions for safe operation in potentially explosive atmospheres
The device must be protected against shocks with high impact energy, strong
UV-radiation and strong charge generating processes.
No connections may be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. The battery may not be removed, replaced or charged in potentially explosive
atmospheres.
The RFID module may be not be installed or dismantled in potentially explosive
atmospheres. The flash (LED) on the camera may not be operated in potentially explosive atmospheres as a continuous light.
The battery must be locked inside potentially explosive atmospheres. When you use the wrist strap, the device is only suitable for gas groups IIA.
DANGER
Non-certified accessories pose a risk to explosion protection. In a potentially explosive environment, there is a threat to life!
The headset connector can only be used outside of the potentially explosive atmosphere!

4.2 Maintenance
For electrical installations, the relevant deployment and operating regulations must be observed (such as Directive 99/92/EC, Directive 94/9/EC, BetrSichV or the applicable national regulations EN 60079-14, IEC 60079-14 and the DIN VDE 0100 series).
Note the national waste disposal regulations in the event of disposal.
Service
Regularly update the Windows environment (security patches) and virus scanner signatures. This is imperative in order to always maintain the functionality and safety of your device.

Inspection
In accordance with EN 60079-17 and EN 60079-19, the operator of electrical installations in potentially explosive atmospheres is obliged to have them checked by a qualified electrician to ensure their proper state.
Repairs
Repairs of explosion-protected equipment may be carried out only by authorized persons using original spare parts and in accordance with the state of the art. The applicable directives must be observed.
Commissioning
Before entry into service, make sure that all components and documentation are available.

1. Hold down the on/off button (1) to turn on until the blue LED (2) lights up.

If the Tablet PC has booted, the Windows login page opens.
2. Click on the text box and enter the default login password "Siemens" using the on-screen keyboard.
Note
Safety instruction
Immediately after first entry into service, change the Windows login password.
3. Confirm the entry with "Enter".
Note
If you use a SIM card, a SIM card password may be requested, if necessary, after the Windows login.

6 Establish Remote connection
The remote expert initializes the remote connection over cRSP. The on-site technician then releases access for the remote connection.
Both procedures are described step-by-step in the sections that follow.

6.1 Establish remote connection on the side of the remote expert
No additional software is required to establish the connection. The connection is through the Common Remote Service Platform (cRSP)
The cRSP framework is used to communicate with machines outside the SIEMENS network.
6.1.1 Log-in through the Common Remote Service Platform (cRSP)
1. Open the following link in the “Google Chrome” browser to log in to the cRSP
system: https://crsp1.siemens.com/industry/
2. Click the “Login PKI” button.

If no account has been created in the cRSP system for the remote expert, the error message "Error: Login with PKI failed." appears. In this case, first create an account as a remote expert in the cRSP system. Contact Technical Support.
3. Click on “Customer Systems > Search via Site” in the menu bar.
4. Click on the button "Search". If there are multiple access points available,
inputting search criteria in the filter is recommended.
5. Select the tablet of the on-site technician (here "SIEMENS_PITablet_0007").
In the next step, three types of access to the Tablet PC are available:
– "Desktop Sharing (VNC)" (Chapter 6.1.2)
The expert can use the Tablet PC remote. – Collaboration session via a. "Collaboration HUB - via Chrome" (recommended, Chapter 6.1.3)
The expert can remotely draw notes on still images using the Tablet
camera of the on-site technician, for example.

b. "Collaboration Session"
The same function as "Collaboration HUB - via Chrome". The collaboration
session is invoked via a separately launched Google chrome browser
window.
6.1.2 Desktop Sharing (VNC)
Requirements
Log-in through the Common Remote Service Platform Tablet PC is connected to the Internet
1. Click on "Desktop Sharing (VNC)".
2. Confirm the message “Do you want this website...” by clicking the “Accept” button.
3. Confirm the message “Do you want to run this application...” by clicking the “Accept” button.
The browser opens a new tab with the connections.
If the on-site technician is not yet connected to the Internet, a dialog box appears, "Connection failure" with the note "Invalid Authorization...".
Click on the “OK” button to acknowledge the message and then click on the
“Disconnect” button. Wait until the Tablet PC is connected to the Internet and then
perform step 1 again. If you are successfully connected, skip to step 4.
