Children’s safety device
for the battery
This special feature prevents children
from unintentionally removing the
battery.
Open the batter y compartment to
the first stop toswitch off,do not
open the batter y door fully.
Using a pointed
tool, push the pin to
the right to lock the
battery door and to
the left to unlock.

Selecting the
hearing program
The IMPACT L can beprogrammed
with up to 5 hearing programs which
are selected with a program button.
Each time the button ispressed the
instrument changes to the next
program, which is confirmed with
beep tones. The number ofbeep tones
is the same as theselected program.

Your hearing instrument maybe
programmed to inform youwhen the
battery should bereplaced forbest
system performance. You may hear an
intermittent series of beepsand/or
experience low amplification poweror
volume. Change the batterywhen
either of these occur.
Power-ondelay
Your hearing instrument maybe
equipped with a “power-on delay”
feature.
This featuredelays sound from entering
your hearing instrumentwhen itis first
turned on, so that you may insert the
hearing instrumentinto your ear
withoutexperiencing unpleasant
feedback(whistling).

Toturn your hearing instrumentoff,
pressand hold the program button for
approximately 3 seconds.To turn your
hearinginstrument on again, pressand
hold the programbutton for
approximately 3 seconds.Please note
that when you turn yourhearing
instrumentoff using the program
button,you must wait approximately10
secondsfor the instrument to reset
beforeturning it back on using the
programbutton.
CAUTION
Risk of injur y caused by
incorrect use of LifeTip.
Always wear the LifeTube
with the LifeTip
Make sure that theLifeTip is
completely attached to the
LifeTip adapter
Change the LifeTube or
LifeTip when they are cracked
Put the LifeTube with the
LifeTip carefully and not too
deep into the ear
Use the LifeTube and LifeTip
only the way describedin this
patient leaflet
If the LifeTip remainsin the
ear, have it removed bya
medical professional
