PICTURE THIS
Like all SharpVision products, the DW100 delivers stunning color,
ratio delivers black levels rarely seen in LCD projectors, while main-
taining color accuracy rivaled only by nature. The DW100 has three
presets for color temperature, allowing you to fine-tune the warmth of

WIDE MODE
SharpVision, the world leader in consumer
home theater, has just forged a new era in
LCD front projection. The XV-DW100U
is one of the most compact units available,
yet it makes movies, sports—even computer
imagery—larger than life! The DW100 accepts
high definition input signals in both 1080I and
720P formats and delivers a high resolution
image that captures the realism made possible
by HDTV programming.
When designing the DW100, SharpVision
went the distance. Consider a projector that offers
a choice of aspect ratios. The Wide 16:9 mode is
ideal for viewing DTV and DVD images in true
widescreen fashion. The DW100 automatically
“unsqueezes” anamorphic recordings in Wide
mode, while it displays 4:3 images in either the
Normal mode, for native video resolution, or
Full mode, for enhanced resolution.

Driven to increase picture clarity even further, SharpVision has
incorporated an internal line-doubler for a smoother, more continu-
ous image. SharpVision has also included an Interlaced-to-Progressive
Conversion feature (I/P) that’s ideal for the true videophile. This
adjustment lets you display video material in either interlaced format,
or line-doubled progressive format, which is especially ideal for film
originated material. And a reliable long-life 150W Ultra High
Pressure Lamp provides superior image quality, color accuracy and
image brightness.
POWERFUL AND FLEXIBLE
The DW100 delivers the picture-perfect clarity you’ve come to expect
from SharpVision. Connect the DW100 to an optional DTV Decoder
and enjoy all the latest high definition broadcasts in your area. The
DW100 is compatible with 480I and 480P formats, and accepts 720P
and 1080I high definition signals. Inputs include two high bandwidth,
switchable, RGB and Y, Pb, Pr connections for compatibility with a
variety of high quality video signal sources. Also featured are S-video, and
composite inputs for traditional video sources such as DVD players,
satellite receivers and VCRs.
The DW100 also boasts SharpVision’s brand-new On-Screen-Display
(OSD). This new OSD features icons and graphic displays for intuitive
navigation of the projector’s adjustments and settings. The handy wire-
less remote control offers complete command of all projector functions
from anywhere in the room. And it’s backlit.
SMALL SIZE:
PART OF THE BIG PICTURE
Another great feature of the DW100 is its small size. Weighing in under
16 pounds and measuring 10.3
x 5.1”x 14”, it’s small enough to be
unobtrusively mounted on a ceiling. The size of the room isn’t a con-
cern; the DW100 has a power zoom/focus, so the installation options
are virtually unlimited! The unit also has an electronic lens shift feature
and digital keystone correction for trickier installations. The net result
is a projector that is able to project the clearest of pictures from a vari-
ety of heights and angles, including custom rear projection applications.
Large, bright, high resolution images. Accurate color reproduction.
Flexible technology and installation options. All from a unit that weighs
less than 16 pounds. With the DW100, SharpVision has taken the high
performance of theater and brought it into your home.
reds and blues according to your own particular preference. The unit
delivers 1000 ANSI Lumens, producing clear, crisp images even in
rooms that are subject to ambient light. In addition, a three-preset
Gamma Mode allows you to illuminate dark
scenes without compro-
mising bright areas within the image. It’s perfect for viewing
programs that include many low-light and nighttime scenes.

MULTIPLE VIEWING OPTIONS
The SharpVision XV-DW100U Widescreen LCD Projector offers a wide variety of installation and viewing options. The Wide mode is ideal for programs formatted especially for widescreen viewing such as DTV broadcasts and Anamorphic DVD’s. The Full mode enhances the resolution of standard NTSC video to 768 vertical lines. The Normal mode makes switching from 16:9 to 4:3 seamless (when using a 16:9 screen). Additionally, the Normal mode is ideal for long throw applications where the projector can’t be mounted as close to the 4:3 screen as typically desired.
