Changing file size and sound quality for recording
With this product, you can change the sampling frequency, mode and bit rate to control file size or sound
quality. The following are the default values for microphone, FM radio and line-in recording.
Indicates the number of samples of a sound that are
taken per second when digitising sound. As the sample
rate increases, sound quality improves and data volume
grows.
Mode:
Select stereo or mono. Mono only for microphone. Select
stereo normally for FM radio or line-in recording.
BitRate:
Indicates the number of bits taken per second when compressing digital sound. As the bit rate decreases, data
volume reduces and sound quality lowers.
MP3:
When recording, you can compress sound in MP3 format.
PCM:
When recording, the sound is digitised but not compressed.
