PREFACE

This document details the installation of MICROSOFT Windows 2000 Professional Operating System.
The Operating System is supplied pre-installed on a Hard Disk Unit (L80X500DW2K)

The disk and its contents should be installed in accordance with this manual and used in line with
MICROSOFT licensing.

Windows 2000 Professional Setup

1. Connect a Keyboard to the UP-X500 before powering on the system.

2. When prompted with the 'Welcome to the Windows 2000 Setup Wizard' screen select Next.

3. When prompted with the 'License Agreement' screen ensure that you select 'I accept this
agreement' then press Next.

4. When prompted with the 'Regional and Language Options' screen select Next.

5. When prompted with the 'Personalise Your Software' screen enter the Name: ie John Smith and
the Organisation ie Red Lion then select Next.
