1. Trouble shooting EU problems.
1.General: The EE-EU trouble code occasionally occurs after the developer adjustments (SIM
25-02) have been carried out when installing the machines.
Cause: The developer adjustment value sometimes drops below the control lower limit
due to deviations in developing tank measurements or assembly, deviations in
developer or due to low humidity conditions.
2.Description: ➀ Temporary measure
A spacer (t=0.188 mm) has been added
between the toner sensor and the bottom
of the developing tank.
The shaded section indicates the added spacer.

➁ Permanent measure
A change in the toner sensor adjustment value has been carried out. In order to make a
distinction, a change in the color of the toner sensor label has also been carried out.
When the new toner sensor is used the ATC spacer which was employed as a
temporary measure is to be discontinued.

2. Change in the bearing of the developing tank.
1.General: Cohesion of the developer sometimes occurs after or during the first 500 to 2,000
copies when working under low copy volume conditions due to influence from the oil
bearing used in the developing tank. Since there are occasions when light copies are
desired, the bearing has been changed to one with a Teflon coating.
2.Description: Seven bearings with a diameter of ø5 and one bearing with a diameter of ø6 have been
changed to bearings with Teflon coatings.
