A CHANGE TO THE INFORMATION IN THE SERVICE MANUAL ON ADJUSTING THE MAIN POSITION OF THE DEVELOPER MAGNET ROLLER.

2.General: The explanation in the service guide of how to adjust the position of the developer

magnet roller is incorrect. Please use the corrected information below .

3.Description:

(2) Adjusting the main position of the developer magnet roller

(1) Take the device apart until you are at the position indicated in the figure to the right. (2) Attach a string to a needle or a pin as shown to the right. (3) Hold the string, and bring the needle closer to the MG roller. (the diameter of the MG roller is small, so a paper clip will not be sufficiently small to mark the position correctly). (4) Mark the position where the needle came into contact with the MG roller using a pen. (5) Measure the distance between this position and the rib shown in the central figure. Confirm that this distance is 18.0 +_ 0.2 mm. If the distance you measured is not within the stated range, loosen screw A which fixes the main position adjustment board into place, and adjust it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the figure.

Note:In order to make sure your measurement is correct, put spacers at both sides of the base of the developer tank, and only move the needle horizontally.
