Breakage of fusing gear (UX-3600/FO-2850/F-3600)
1.Model Name UX-3600/FO-2850/F-3600
2.General Since a problem that some of fusing gears using in the UX-3600/FO-2850 break has
occurred, we inform you of the countermeasure against that.
3.Description When manufacturing other models using the same fusing gear as UX-3600/FO-2850, some
of fusing gears broke. Therefore, it was tried to find its cause so that it was ascertained that
weak gears were mixed due to unevenness of parts in a lot, and a countermeasure was
taken.
It is thought that weak fusing gears were also mixed for the lots 2000 to 2999 of
UX-3600/FO-2850 produced in May, 1998.
The material control and molding temperature/humidity control of the fusing gear were
reconsidered from the production in June, 1998.
4.Action The correct parts have been used from the production in June, 1998.
5.Remarks For the service parts, all wrong lots have been recalled. Therefore, it is thought that this
problem will not happen after replacement.
