Parts change required as a result of application of
CD-ROM for operation manual (software packaged
together)

FD to CD-ROM, the parts codes of software and operation manual are changed.

3. Description: The changes required for application of CD-ROM are as follows.

Note: The interchangeability is provided for one pair. No interchangeability isprovided for each part.

The application of CD-ROM needs the following caution.

The CD-ROM which is supplied newly has a function to change the software record media
from CD-ROM to FD (Make FD function).

4. Operation manual

If user who does not have the CD-ROM drive purchases by mistake the models UX-3600M,
F-3600M or FO-28MK that comes with CD-ROM and he requests FD, the Service Section
can notify the Make FD function. (In principle, this function must be used by user himself.
However it can be performed by the service-man if requested by user.) However, the agree­ment with Microsoft needs the following conditions.

(1) Basically the Make FD function is installed in CD-ROM. Public notification using the

operation manual, catalog, home page, etc. is not made to the end users.

(2) Before notification of the Make FD function to user it is necessary to ascertain in advance

that the customer is registered user of UX-3600M/F-3600M/FO-28MK. (The Service
Section keeps the record of serial No. and model name of purchased machine of customer.
(There is no obligation to inform.)

(3) After notification it is necessary to ask the user to discard CD-ROM by himself after user

changes media to FD. (It seems difficult to compel user to discard. It is desirable that the
Service Section requests.)

If the Service Section receives any notice, ask the notification of the Make FD function. If user
is dissatisfied with execution of Make FD function, it is required that FD is supplied from the
service parts.
