System Expansion Guidelines to connect the SP 230 to:
1. A second SP 230
- Switch one SP 230 to ”slave” position, then
- CBL 1015 75 Ω coax plus 2 cable, 18 AWG, 100' or
- Plug Mains cable into 110 V AC wall outlet and connect RF signal with RG 58 coax cable
using BNC connectors or barrier strip
2. SZI 1015 Emitter
- CBL 1015 75 Ω coax plus 2 cable, 18 AWG, 100' *
3. SZI 1029
- RG 58 coax cable with BNC to BNC
- Plug Mains cable into 110 V AC wall outlet
* Note: For runs longer than 100', use heavier gauge

SP 230
The compact, portable SP 230 is a two-channel self-contained modulator/emitter in one
unit that operates at higher sub-carrier frequencies thus avoiding interference from
uorescent lighting.
It is especially well-suited to medium sized conferences and meeting room applications, as
it can be set up easily on a podium or microphone stand and requires only the simple
connection of a microphone, tape recorder (or similar audio source), and a wall outlet. It
can remotely power one SZI 1015 medium area emitter panel for up to 4,000/2,000 sq. ft. of
additional coverage (single-/two-channel mode).
