SI 20-R/SZI 30R Two Channel IR Modulator & Remote Emitter
The SI 20-R two-channel, 95/250 kHz, wideband infrared modulator is a single rack-space unit
that can drive up to eight SZI-30R emitter panels for up to 6,000 sq. ft. of coverage. This easy-touse, integrated system offers a cost-effective solution for ADA compliance for the hard of
hearing, simultaneous language interpretation, and other assistive listening applications. Each
SZI30-R slave emitter panel oods an area of up to 750 sq. ft. (in mono mode), and can be
remotely powered by the SI20-R. Several SZI-30R emitters can be clustered together at a single
mounting point and aimed individually, using optional clamping accessories.

Architect’s Specications
The unit shall be a 2-Channel IR modulator & remote lter with 12 diodes. The carrier
frequencies shall be 95 and 250 kHz. The frequencies must be switchable. The coverage area
shall be 750 sq. ft. in mono mode, and 375 sq. ft. in stereo mode. The input sensitivity shall be
40 mV with automatic gain control. The power requirements shall be 110 V AC. The input
connectors shall be 1/4" unbalanced line level connectors.The output connectors shall be
5-pin and lockable. The dimensions shall be 9 x 1.75 x 8 inches and weigh approx 5.5 lbs. The
unit shall be a Sennheiser SI 20-R/SZI 20R.
