• DO NOT use a power drill for installation!
• If necessary, use a screwdriver to remove product from packaging.

Check Dimensions.
If door dimensions do not match, go to www.schlage.com for drilling instructions.

Install strike onto door jamb.

Change faceplate, if necessary.
Choose the drawing that matches your door edge. If the hole has no mortise, change to the circular faceplate.

Install AAA batteries into the alarm interior.
No change necessary.

Install Latch.
Make sure latch angle faces door jamb.

Install the exterior lever.

Install the Alarm Interior.
Make sure lock is straight before tightening screws.
Bar should slide smoothly through hole in latch. If not, check door dimensions.

Turn the alarm on.
Press the inside Schlage button for 5 seconds, until any light ashes
around the Schlage button. See the included User's Guide for detailed instructions.

Activate the alarm.
See the included User Guide's for detailed instructions.

If needed, switch the levers.
Correct
No change necessary.
Incorrect
a.
For the exterior lever, insert the pin wrench into the hole in the lever.
Push in and hold.
b.
Chassis
Pull the lever off the chassis.
c.
Note location of lever catch.
d.
Lever catch is now on opposite side.
e.
Repeat steps a and b to remove the Alarm Interior lever.
Rotate the chassis so the lever catch is on the opposite side.
Use the lever from the exterior to reassemble the Alarm Interior.
Put the lever from the Alarm Interior on the exterior.
