Important

Failure to comply with the following
precautions may be dangerous or illegal.
Use road safety at all times
Do not use a hand-held phone while driving. Park
the vehicle first.
Switch off the phone when refuelling
Do not use the phone at a refuelling point (service
station) or near fuels or chemicals.
Switch off in an aircraft
Wireless phones can cause interference. Using them
in an aircraft is both illegal and dangerous.
Switch off the phone near all medical
equipment
Hospitals or health care facilities may be using
equipment that could be sensitive to external radio

which could affect their performance.
Be aware of special regulations
Meet any special regulations in force in any area and
always switch off your phone whenever it is forbidden

Your phone is not water-resistant. Keep it dry.

Use only in the normal position (held to the ear). Avoid

Low battery indicator
When the battery is low:
• a warning tone sounds,
• the battery low message displays, and
• the empty battery icon blinks.
If the battery level becomes too low, the phone
automatically turns off. Recharge your battery.

Basic Operation
Menu Function
This phone support an interactive operation instead of
a normal menu.
You can select the next operation with pressing ‘YES’
or ‘NO’ key for a simple question.
1. If you want to make a call with a recent call log,
just press ‘YES’ key in the ‘All Recent’ screen.
2. If you want to delete a SMS, press ‘YES’ key in the
‘Read Msg’ screen.
3. If you want to reply to a SMS, just press ‘YES’ key
when you see the ‘Reply?’ Question.
4. If you want to check a new voicemail, just press
‘YES’ key in ‘Voicemail’ screen.
Engineer Menu
You can find various engineer function in this
menu(e.g. Nam Programming, Field Debug Screen, Akey, Channel Preset Mode, etc).
1. Open the flip You can see the ‘Phonebook’ screen.
2. Press ‘NO’ key 4~5 times until you meet ‘My
pictures’ screen(No SMS inbox case: ‘NO’ 4 times).
3. In ‘My pictures’ screen, press ‘Volume Up’ key on
the Flip 7 times ‘Service Code’ screen ( Volume Up
key : The upper side key on the flip when you close
the flip ).
4. Enter code:000000 with key pad Engineer menu
5. Use number keys to select menu : Only number
keys(1, 2, 3,…, 9) can activate the menu
press ‘2’key to select ‘2. Field Service’ menu)
To go back to previous menu, just press ‘#’ key.

Originating voice calls
1. Enter the number sequence with pressing number
keys.
2. To setup a voice call, just press ‘YES’ key for ‘Call?’
question.
NAM programming
Programming of all NAM parameters, e.g. NAM 1
Phone Number, Home SID, Service Sec.Code, MCC,
SVC OPT, Slot Cycle Index, etc.
1. Activate the ‘Engineer Menu’. (Refer to ‘Engineer
Menu’)
2. Press ‘1’ key to select ‘1. System Program’.

3. Press ‘2’ key to select ‘2. Edit’.
4. Use number keys to edit a parameter.
5. Press STAR(‘*’) key to save and go to next
parameter.
Field Debug Screen
1. Activate the ‘Engineer Menu’. (Refer to ‘Engineer
Menu’)
2. Press ‘2’ key to select ‘2. Field Service’
3. Press ‘1’ key to select ‘1. Debug Screen’
Repeat above sequence to exit Debug screen
(Debug Screen appears when a mobile stays in
‘Phonebook’ idle screen or in the conversation
state.)
Changing The DM/HANDSFREE Mode
1. Activate the ‘Engineer Menu’. (Refer to ‘Engineer
Menu’)
2. Press ‘4’ key to select ‘4. SIO Mode’
3. Use navigation keys(‘UP’/’DOWN’) to change the
selection.
4. Press STAR(‘*’) key to save and reboot the mobile.
There are three modes as following
• DS/HFK : Normal mode
• DS/DM : UART Qualcomm DM mode
• DS&DMUSB : USB Qualcomm DM mode
Channel Preset mode
1. Activate the ‘Engineer Menu’.(Refer to ‘Engineer
Menu’)
2. Press ‘3’ key to select ‘3. Test CDMA’.
3. Press ‘012’ to enter Channel input mode with key
pad.
4. Enter channel number with key pad.
5. Press STAR(‘*’) to save channel number.
6. After saving, press “002” to exit test mode
(Input ‘.’ between the command with pressing ‘#’
key)
• Channel number setting
00000 : PRL based or Standard system
2XXXX : 800 MHz CDMA, XXXX is CDMA channel
number.
3XXXX : 1.9 GHz CDMA, XXXX is PCS channel
number.
Making Markov Test Calls
1. Originate with a desired phone number to create
an outgoing call list.
2. Activate the ‘Engineer Menu’ (Refer to ‘Engineer
Menu’)
3. Press ‘2’ key to select ‘2. Field Service’.
4. Press ‘2’ key to Select ‘2. Test Calls’.
5. Use navigation keys(‘UP’/’DOWN’) to change the
selection with ‘Markov Call’.
6. Select ‘Markov Call’ with STAR‘*’ key, then MS will
originate the Markov call using the first entry in
outgoing call logs
(If the outgoing call list is empty, the MS will
originate to a default number, ‘1234567’.)
