Safety instructions
• Prior to using the refrigerator, please carefully read this manual and keep it in
a safe place near the refrigerator for future reference.
• Please use this equipment only as described in this manual. This equipment
is not allowed to be used by the persons missing limbs, disabled in feeling
or spirit or lack of relevant experience (including children), unless under
supervision or relevant guidance of the person responsible for their safety.
• The children above 8 years old and persons with impaired limbs, disabled
in feeling or spirit or lack of relevant experience may only be allowed to use
this equipment on the premise of supervision or relevant safety guidance and
learning relevant danger by other persons. Children are not allowed to use
this equipment. Children are not allowed to clean or maintain this equipment
without supervision.
• The warnings and important safety instructions in this manual do not include
all possible conditions and situations. When installing, maintaining and using
this refrigerator, you shall follow the common sense, warnings and precautions
and be responsible for your own behaviors.
• As the following operation instructions apply to various models, the properties
of your refrigerator may be slightly different from those described herein, and
not all warning signs apply. For any questions or problems, please contact
the nearest service center or log in www.samsung.com to seek on-line help or
information.

Serious warning signs relevant to transportation and site selection
Warning
• When transporting and assembling the refrigerator, please be cautious for
fear of damaging any parts of refrigerating circuit.
• This product applies R600a freezing medium. R600a freezing medium is a
natural gas that can be used in various environments and also an inammable
gas.
- The freezing medium leaked from the refrigerating coil may cause a re or
injure the eyes. If leakage is found, please avoid any open re or potential
combustion source and ventilate the room where the refrigerator is placed for
several minutes.
- In order to prevent the inammable gas-air mixture from producing in case of
leakage of the refrigerating circuit, the size of the room for accommodating the
refrigerator shall be selected based on the quantity of the freezing medium.
- Do not start the refrigerator in case of any damages. For any questions,
please consult the distributor. In the room where the refrigerator is placed, 1
cbm indoor space shall be provided for every 8 g R-600a freezing medium
in the refrigerator. The label inside the refrigerator shall be indicated with the
quantity of the freezing medium of each specic refrigerator.
• The freezing medium ejected from the refrigerating coil may cause a re or
injure the eyes. If the freezing medium in the circuit leaks, please avoid any
open re, take all inammable articles from the refrigerator and ventilate the
room immediately.
- Otherwise, a re disaster or an explosion may be caused.

Serious warning signs relevant to assembly
Warning
• Please do not assemble this equipment in a damp location full of oil or dust
or under exposure of direct sunshine and water leakage (leakage of rain).
- Damage of the insulated wrapper of the electric parts may cause electric
shock or re disaster.
• Please do not expose the refrigerator under direct sunshine or the heat source
of the furnace, indoor radiator or other equipment.
• Please do not connect more than one device to the same power panel
with several sockets. The refrigerator shall always be connected to the
independent power socket corresponding with the rated voltage of the
nameplate.
- In this case, the best performance may be provided and overload of the
indoor wired circuit may be prevented for fear of causing re disaster by the
overheated line. Please do not plug the power plug in if the socket is loose.
- Otherwise, electric shock or re disaster may be caused.
• Please do not use the power line broken or worn in the middle or end.
• Please do not bend the power line or place weights on it.
• Please do not use smoke agent near the refrigerator.
- Using smoke agent near the refrigerator may cause explosion or re disaster.
• Please do not install this equipment in the place where gas leakage may
occur.
- This may cause electric shock or re disaster.

• It is suggested to conduct equipment installation or any maintenance
service by the qualied technician or maintenance company.
- Otherwise, electric shock, re disaster, explosion, product fault or personal
injury may be caused.
• Prior to using this refrigerator, be sure to select an appropriate locate for
correct assembly as described herein.
• Please do not install this refrigerator in a damp place or a place where water
may be contacted.
- Damage of the insulated wrapper of the electric parts may cause electric
shock or re disaster.
• Connect the power plug to an appropriate location so that the power line can
fall naturally.
- If you inverse the power plug, the plower line may be cut off and a re disaster
or an electric shock may be caused.
• Please be sure that the back of the refrigerator will not squeeze or damage
the power plug.
• When moving this refrigerator, be careful not to crush or damage the power line.
- This may cause electric shock or re disaster.
• The equipment shall be properly placed for the convenience of connecting to
the power socket after installation.
• Please keep the packaging materials out of reach of children.
- The children who covering the packaging materials over the head may
suffocate them to death.
• The refrigerator shall be grounded.
- Be sure to earth the refrigerator to avoid any power loss or electric shock
caused by electric leakage of the refrigerator.
• Do not earth with gas pipe, phone line or other potential lightning rod.
- Improperly using the plug may cause electric shock.
• If the power line is damaged, please immediately ask the manufacturer or
its service agent for replacement.
• The fuse wire of the refrigerator shall be replaced by the qualied technician
or maintenance company.
- Otherwise, electric shock or personal injury may be caused.

Warning signs related to installation
Caution
• Be sure that the ventilation hole of the refrigerator case or installing support
is unblocked.
• After installing the equipment, restart to use it 2 hours later.
• Some models of the refrigerator has protective lm on surface which is
able to prevent the refrigerator from being scratched in the process of
transportation. In order to avoid static electricity, please tear the protective
lm off slowly. If the protective lm is not removed for a long time, color
difference of the steel plate may be caused.

• Please do not plug or unplug the power plug when the hand is wet.
• Please do not store articles on top of the refrigerator.
- Otherwise, when opening or closing the refrigerator door, the articles placed
on it may fall and cause personal injury and/or damage of the articles.
• Please do not place articles with water on the refrigerator.
- If the water splashes, there is the danger of causing re disaster or electric shock.
• Please do not allow children to suspend on the refrigerator door.
- Otherwise, serious personal injury may be caused.
• Please do not leave the refrigerator door open for a long time without giving
attention and do not allow children enter the refrigerator.
• Please do not allow infants or children enter the drawer.
- If they are trapped in it, death or personal injury due to suffocation may be caused.
• Please do not sit at the door of the freezer.
- Otherwise, the door of the freezer may be broken and personal injury may be
caused.
• Don not store volatile or inammable substances in the refrigerator, such as
benzene, diluent, ethyl alcohol, ether or liqueed petroleum gas.
- Storage of any such products may cause explosion.
• Do not store pharmaceutical products, scientic materials or other products
that are sensitive to low temperature in the refrigerator.
- Do not store the products required to strictly control temperature in the refrigerator.
• Do not place or use electrical appliance in the refrigerator, except for those
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not dry the inner side of the refrigerator with blower. Do not place lighted
candle in the refrigerator for the purpose of removing the odor.
- This may cause electric shock or re disaster.
• Please do not touch the inwall of the freezer or the articles in the freezer when
the hands are wet.
- Otherwise, cold injury may be caused.
• In addition to the methods suggested by the manufacturer, please do not quicken
the unfreezing process with the mechanical device or any other methods.
• Please do not damage the freezing circuit.
• This equipment shall be placed near the power plug and not use external socket.
- Otherwise, this may cause electric shock or re disaster due to electric leakage.
• Do not store explosive in the appliance, such as comburent spray.

the power plug out immediately and contact the nearest service center.

Caution
• In order to achieve the best product performance, please follow the
following instructions:
- Please do not place food densely in front of the ventilation hole in the back of
the refrigerator, or the free air circulation of the freezer of the refrigerator may
be inuenced.
- Prior to placing the food in the refrigerator, properly wrap the food or place the
food in an enclosed container.
• Please do not put carbonated beverages or zzy drinks in the freezer.
Please do not put bottles or glass containers in the freezer.
- The glass may be broken and cause personal injury and properties damage if
the substances in them are frozen.
• Please do not change the function of the refrigerator or ret the refrigerator.
- Otherwise, personal injury and/or properties damage may be caused.
Any change or ret conducted by the third party on this refrigerator will not be
subject to the warranty service of Sumsung who will not be responsible for the
safety problems and damages caused by the third party.
• Please observe the longest storage time and valid period of the frozen products.
• Please do not spray such volatile substances as insecticide on the surface of
the refrigerator.
- Besides the harm to heath, this may cause electric shock, re disaster or
product fault.
• Please do not intensely strike or forcefully push the surface of the glass.
- Otherwise, personal injury and/or properties damage may be caused by the
broken glass.
• Only infuse drinking water (mineral water or pure water) into the ice-making box.
• Only the ice-making box provided by the refrigerator is allowed to be used.
• Do not keep vegetable oil in your refrigerator’s door bins. The oil can solidify,
making it foul-tasting and difcult to use. In addition, the open container can
leak and the leaked oil can cause the door bin to crack. After opening an oil
container, it is best to keep the container in a cool and shaded place such as a
cupboard or pantry.

Caution
• Please do not spray water directly to inside or outside of the refrigerator.
- Otherwise, the danger of re disaster or electric shock may be caused.
• Please do not use or place such substances that are sensitive to temperature
as inammable aerosol, inammable substances, dry ice, medicine or
chemicals. Please do not store volatile or inammable objects or substances
in the refrigerator (benzene, diluent and propane gas, etc.).
- This refrigerator is only designed for storing food.
- Otherwise, a re disaster or an explosion may be caused.
• Please do not spray cleanser on the display directly.
- Otherwise, the printing characters on the display will fall off.
• Clear all foreign matters or dust on the pins of the power plug.
But before cleaning the plug, please do not use wet cloth and clear all foreign
matters or dust on the pins of the plug.
- Otherwise, the danger of re disaster or electric shock may be caused.
• Please apply hairbrush or toothbrush to clean the place hard to be cleaned
like hinge.
• Use a clean sponge or soft cloth and a mild detergent in warm water to clean
the refrigerator.
• Do not use abrasive or harsh cleansers such as window sprays, scouring
cleansers, ammable uids, muriatic acid, cleaning waxes, concentrated
detergents, bleaches, or cleansers containing petroleum products on exterior
surfaces (doors and cabinet), plastic parts, door and interior liners, and
gaskets.
- These can scratch or damage the material.
• Do not clean glass shelves or covers with warm water when they are cold.
Glass shelves and covers may break if exposed to sudden temperature
changes or impacts such as bumping or dropping.

refrigerator out.
• If the foreign matters such as water ow into the refrigerator, please plug the
power plug out and contact the nearest service center.
- Otherwise,electric shock or re disaster may be caused.
Serious warning signs relevant to waste disposal
Warning
• This product applies R-600a freezing medium which is inammable gas,
so please contact relevant local department to know how to process this
product in a safe manner.
• This product applies cyclopentane as foamer at the thermal insulating layer
and the gas in the thermal insulating materials needs to undergo special
processing procedure. Please contact local department to know how to
process this product in a safe and environmental friendly manner.
• Prior to processing this product as waste, be sure that all pipes are intact at
the back of the refrigerator.
These pipelines shall be cut broken in an open place.
• When processing this product or other refrigerators as waste, please
dismantle the refrigerator door/sealing strip of the refrigerator door for fear that
infants or small animals are trapped in it. Install the shelf in place to prevent
children climbing in it easily.
Take care of the children and ensure they will not play with this equipment.
• Please process the packaging materials of this product in an environmental
friendly way.
• Please keep the packaging materials out of reach of children.
- If the children cover the packaging bag over the head, suffocation may be caused.
Other prompts for correct use
Note
• In case of power failure, please call local electric power company to know the
time of the consistent power failure.
- Most of the power failure will be recovered in one or two hours, so it will not
inuence the temperature of the refrigerator. However, reduce the times of
opening the refrigerator door as much as possible during the power failure.
- However, if the power is off for more than 24 hours, please take all frozen food out.
