Charging the device
This Bluetooth speaker has a built-in battery. Before using the speaker for the first time or when the battery has been unused for extended periods, you must charge the battery.
Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables. Unapproved chargers or cables can cause the battery to explode or damage the device.
Charge the speaker by connecting it to the computer or the USB power adaptor via the USB cable.

Checking the remaining battery power
Disconnect the charger from the Bluetooth speaker and turn on the speaker. Press the Power button. The Power button flashes three times in different colors to indicate the remaining battery power.

Turning the Bluetooth speaker on or off
Press and hold the Power button to turn the Bluetooth speaker on or off. When you turn on the speaker for the first time, it enters the Bluetooth pairing mode.
• When the speaker is turned on, the Power button flashes blue three times.
• When the speaker is turned off, the Power button flashes red three times before turning off.
• To check that the speaker is on, press the Power button. The Power button flashes three times in different colors to indicate the remaining battery power.
• If the speaker freezes, press and hold the Power button for more than 10 seconds. The speaker will reset and restart.
Connecting to other devices
You can connect the Bluetooth speaker to other Bluetooth­enabled devices, such as smartphones or computers. Also, if you have devices that support the near field communication (NFC) feature, you can control the Bluetooth feature to connect the devices to the speaker.
When connecting for the first time, pair the speaker with the other Bluetooth-enabled device. Keep the devices close to each other while pairing or using the speaker.
Instructions for Bluetooth connection or Bluetooth connection via NFC may vary by device. Refer to the device’s user manual for additional information.

Notices for using Bluetooth
• Ensure that your device and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum Bluetooth range (10 m). If there are obstacles between the devices, the operating distance may be reduced.
• Ensure that there are no obstacles between your device and the connected device, including human bodies, walls, corners, or fences.
• Do not touch the Bluetooth antenna of the connected device.
• Bluetooth uses the same frequency as some industrial, scientific, medical, and low voltage equipment and interference may occur when connecting via Bluetooth near these types of equipment.

• Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by the Bluetooth SIG, may be incompatible with your device.
Connecting via Bluetooth
Turn on the Bluetooth speaker. Then, press and hold the

Pairing (
• The speaker enters the Bluetooth pairing mode and the Power button flashes red, blue, and green.
On the Bluetooth-enabled device, access the Bluetooth setup mode and search for Bluetooth devices.
From the search results, select the Bluetooth speaker.
• When pairing is complete, the speaker appears as “Connected” in the devices list.
Connecting via Bluetooth using the NFC feature
Turn on the Bluetooth speaker.

other device’s NFC antenna close to the NFC antenna on the speaker.
• The other device's screen must be unlocked to enable the devices to connect.
• End the Bluetooth connection between the Bluetooth speaker and any other device first. The NFC feature is not available while another device is connected to the speaker.
Ending the Bluetooth connection
You can end the Bluetooth connection by turning off the Bluetooth speaker or by disabling the Bluetooth feature on the connected device. Alternatively, place the devices' NFC antennas near to each other to end the Bluetooth connection.

Connecting using an audio cable
You can use an audio cable to connect other media devices, such as a smartphone, to the Bluetooth speaker.
Audio playback is not available from Bluetooth and audio cable connections at the same time. If the speaker is playing audio via Bluetooth, end the Bluetooth connection or stop playback before connecting a device that uses an audio cable.

If the Bluetooth speaker is connected to other devices using an audio cable and Bluetooth simultaneously, the speaker plays audio from the device connected via Bluetooth. When playback from the Bluetooth­connected device stops, the speaker plays audio from the device connected using an audio cable.
Using the Bluetooth speaker
When the Bluetooth speaker is connected to a Bluetooth or NFC-enabled device, you can play audio on the speaker or use it as a speaker phone. While a device is connected to the speaker, you can turn on the voice recognition feature of the connected device by pressing and holding the Play/Stop button.
The functions that are available when you press and hold the Play/Stop button may differ depending on the connected device.
Playing audio
Play audio from the connected device.
• Press the Volume (+) button or the Volume (-) button to adjust the volume.
• A notification will sound when the speaker volume reaches its maximum value. If the sound is not loud enough when the speaker volume is set to maximum, adjust the volume of the connected device.
• Press the Play/Stop button to pause or resume playback.
• Press the Play/Stop button twice to skip to the next file.
• Some devices may allow you to control only the volume.
• The Bluetooth speaker can control only the volume on devices that have an audio cable connection.
