Indicator light

The indicator light alerts you to the Bluetooth speaker status.

If the indicator light does not work as described, disconnect the charger from the Bluetooth speaker and reconnect it.

Charging the battery

Battery charging tips and precautions

•You can charge the Bluetooth speaker using the charger (sold separately).

•If the battery is completely discharged, the Bluetooth speaker cannot be turned on immediately when the charger is connected. Allow a depleted battery to charge for a few minutes before turning on the Bluetooth speaker.

•Using a power source other than the charger, such as a computer, may result in a slower charging speed due to a lower electric current.

•The Bluetooth speaker can be used while it is charging, but it may take longer to fully charge the battery.

Getting started

•If the Bluetooth speaker receives an unstable power supply while charging, it may not function. If this happens, unplug the charger from the Bluetooth speaker.

•While charging, the Bluetooth speaker and the charger may heat up. This is normal and should not affect the Bluetooth speaker lifespan or performance. If the battery gets hotter than usual, the charger may stop charging.

•If the Bluetooth speaker is not charging properly, take the Bluetooth speaker and the charger to a Samsung Service Centre.

•The charging time may vary depending on the charger specification.

Wired charging

Charge the Bluetooth speaker before using it for the first time or when it has been unused for extended periods.

Use only Samsung-approved chargers. Unapproved chargers can cause the battery to explode or damage the Bluetooth speaker.

Open the jack panel cover.

Connect the Bluetooth speaker to a charger.

Connecting the charger improperly may cause serious damage to the Bluetooth speaker. Any damage caused by misuse is not covered by the warranty.

3 After fully charging, disconnect the Bluetooth speaker from the charger.

• To save energy, unplug the charger when not in use. The charger does not have a power switch, so you must unplug the charger from the electric socket when not in

use to avoid wasting power. The charger should remain close to the electric socket and be easily accessible while charging.

•The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.

Checking the remaining battery power

Press the Power button to check the remaining battery power.

Using the Bluetooth speaker

Turning the Bluetooth speaker on or off

Press and hold the Power button to turn the Bluetooth speaker on or off.

When you turn on the Bluetooth speaker for the first time, it enters Bluetooth pairing mode.

• If your Bluetooth speaker is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold the Volume

(+) button, the Volume (-) button, and the Play/Bluetooth pairing button simultaneously.

•Follow all posted warnings and directions from authorised personnel in areas where the use of wireless devices is restricted, such as aeroplanes and hospitals.

Connecting to another device

Connecting via Bluetooth

Pair the Bluetooth speaker with a mobile device. Once the devices are paired, the Bluetooth speaker will automatically connect to the mobile device whenever you turn on the Bluetooth speaker.

 Bluetooth speaker  Press and hold the Play/Bluetooth pairing button for more than three seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

The indicator light will flash red and blue.

When you turn on the Bluetooth speaker for the first time, it enters Bluetooth pairing mode.

 Other device  Activate the Bluetooth feature and search for Bluetooth devices. For more information, refer to the other device’s user manual.

Using the Bluetooth speaker

3  Other device  Tap Scoop Design from the list of available devices.

• If the Bluetooth connection fails or the other device cannot locate the Bluetooth speaker, remove the device’s information from the other device’s list. Then, try to

connect again.

•The Bluetooth connection range and sound quality may vary depending on the connected devices.

Disconnecting or reconnecting devices

Press and hold the Play/Bluetooth pairing button for approximately three seconds. The current connection will end.

You can also end the connection by deactivating the Bluetooth feature on the connected device.

If the Bluetooth connection ends due to the distance between the devices, bring the devices closer together within a certain period of time. The devices will automatically reconnect.

• You can also end the connection by turning off the Bluetooth speaker or deactivating the Bluetooth feature on the connected device. When you turn on the Bluetooth speaker again and the devices are in range, or activate the Bluetooth feature on the connected device, the devices will automatically reconnect.

•If the Bluetooth connection ends because of a device malfunction, use the Bluetooth menu on the disconnected device to reconnect the devices.

•Noise may occur if the Bluetooth connection is disconnected improperly.

Connecting to other devices

After ending the connection between the Bluetooth speaker and the mobile device, you can connect the Bluetooth speaker to other devices.

2	Connect the Bluetooth speaker to another device.

Connecting via an audio cable

Connect the Bluetooth speaker to a device via an audio cable. When the Bluetooth speaker is connected via an audio cable, you can only adjust the volume.

 Bluetooth speaker  Plug the audio cable into the audio cable jack.

 Other device  Plug the other end of the audio cable into the audio output jack.

•If the Bluetooth speaker is simultaneously connected to a device via an audio cable and another device via Bluetooth, the Bluetooth speaker will only play audio from the device connected via Bluetooth.

•The audio cable jack is optimised for Samsung mobile devices. When you connect the Bluetooth speaker to a device other than a Samsung mobile device, playback may suddenly stop or feedback may occur depending on the volume. Adjust the volume appropriately.

Notices for using Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard that uses a 2.4 GHz frequency to connect to various devices over short distances. It can connect and exchange data with other Bluetooth enabled devices, such as mobile devices, computers, printers, and other digital home appliances, without connecting via cables.

•To avoid problems when connecting your Bluetooth speaker to another device, place the devices close to each other.

•Ensure that your Bluetooth speaker and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum Bluetooth range (10 m). The distance may vary depending on the environment the devices are used in.

•Ensure that there are no obstacles between the Bluetooth speaker and a connected device, including human bodies, walls, corners, or fences.

•Do not touch the Bluetooth antenna of a connected device.

•Bluetooth uses the same frequency as some industrial, scientific, medical, and low power products and interference may occur when making connections near these types of products.

•Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by the Bluetooth SIG, may be incompatible with your Bluetooth speaker.

•Do not use the Bluetooth feature for illegal purposes (for example, pirating copies of files or illegally tapping communications for commercial purposes).

Using the Bluetooth speaker

Listening to music

Listen to music played on the connected device.

Press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button to play music.

Pausing or resuming playback

Press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button to pause or resume playback.

Adjusting the volume

Press the Volume button to adjust the volume during playback.

Skipping to other songs

Press and hold the Volume (+) button to skip to the next song during playback. Press and hold the Volume (-) button to skip to the previous song during playback.

Using call features

When the Bluetooth speaker is connected to a mobile device, you can answer and control calls from the connected mobile device.

Answering or rejecting a call

To answer the call, press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button.

To reject the call, press and hold the Play/Bluetooth pairing button.

Adjusting the volume

Press the Volume button to adjust the volume during a call.

Answering a second call

When a second call comes in during a call, the Bluetooth speaker will emit a beep.

To end the current call and answer the second call, press and hold the Play/Bluetooth pairing button.

To place the current call on hold and answer the second call, press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button.

To switch between the current call and the held call, press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button.

Ending a call

Press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button to end the current call.

Appendix

Troubleshooting

Before contacting a Samsung Service Centre, please attempt the following solutions.

Your Bluetooth speaker does not turn on

When the battery is completely discharged, your Bluetooth speaker will not turn on. Charge the battery completely before turning on the Bluetooth speaker.

Your Bluetooth speaker freezes

If the Bluetooth speaker freezes or hangs, try to resolve it by turning off the Bluetooth speaker and then turning it on again.

If the Bluetooth speaker is still unresponsive, end the Bluetooth connection and reconnect it. To do this, press the Play/Bluetooth pairing button for approximately three seconds. When the Bluetooth speaker enters Bluetooth pairing mode, connect the devices again, and then check the operation of the Bluetooth speaker.

If the problem is still not resolved, contact a Samsung Service Centre.

The battery does not charge properly (For Samsung-approved USB cables and chargers)

Ensure that the USB cable or the charger is connected properly.

If the problem is still not resolved, contact a Samsung Service Centre.

Appendix

Another Bluetooth device cannot locate your Bluetooth speaker

•Ensure that your Bluetooth speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode.

•Restart your Bluetooth speaker and search for the Bluetooth speaker again.

•Ensure that your Bluetooth speaker and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum Bluetooth range (10 m).

If the tips above do not solve the problem, contact a Samsung Service Centre.

Your Bluetooth speaker cannot connect to another Bluetooth device

•Ensure that your Bluetooth speaker and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum Bluetooth range (10 m).

•On the device you want to connect with, disconnect all paired devices and try to connect again.

Bluetooth connection is often disconnected

•If there are obstacles between the devices, the operating distance may be reduced.

•Ensure that your Bluetooth speaker and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum Bluetooth range (10 m).

•When using the Bluetooth speaker with other Bluetooth devices, the connection may be affected by electromagnetic waves. Use the Bluetooth speaker in environments with fewer wireless devices present.

Appendix

The Bluetooth speaker works differently as described in the manual

Available functions may differ depending on the connected device.

The battery depletes faster than when first purchased

•When you expose the Bluetooth speaker or the battery to very cold or very hot temperatures, the useful charge may be reduced.

•The battery is consumable and the useful charge will get shorter over time.

The Bluetooth speaker gets dirty

Gently wipe the Bluetooth speaker with a soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or strong detergents. Doing so may discolour or corrode the outside the device.

Removing the battery

•To remove the battery, you must visit an authorised service centre with the provided instructions.

•For your safety, you must not attempt to remove the battery. If the battery is not properly removed, it may lead to damage to the battery and device, cause personal injury, and/or result in the device being unsafe.

•Samsung does not accept liability for any damage or loss (whether in contract or tort, including negligence) which may arise from failure to precisely follow these warnings and instructions, other than death or personal injury caused by Samsung’s negligence.

Remove the cover from the bottom of the Bluetooth speaker. Remove the three screws from the bottom of the Bluetooth speaker. Remove the cover from the body of the Bluetooth speaker. Disconnect the battery from the circuit board.

Charger la batterie

Conseils et précautions concernant la batterie

•Vous pouvez charger le haut-parleur Bluetooth à l’aide du chargeur (vendu séparément).

•Si la batterie est complètement déchargée, le haut-parleur Bluetooth ne peut pas s’allumer immédiatement même si le chargeur est branché. Laissez la batterie se recharger pendant quelques minutes avant d’allumer le haut-parleur Bluetooth.

•Si vous utilisez une source d’alimentation autre que le chargeur, comme un ordinateur, la vitesse de chargement risque d’être ralentie.

•Le haut-parleur Bluetooth peut être utilisé en cours de chargement, mais le chargement complet de la batterie peut alors nécessiter plus de temps.

•Si l'alimentation est instable pendant le chargement, il est possible que le haut-parleur ne fonctionne pas. Dans ce cas, débranchez le chargeur du haut-parleur Bluetooth.

•En cours de chargement, il est possible que le haut-parleur Bluetooth et le chargeur chauffent. Ceci est normal et n’a pas d’incidence sur la durée de vie ou les performances du haut-parleur Bluetooth. Si la température de la batterie est supérieure à la normale, le chargeur peut interrompre le chargement.

•Si le haut-parleur Bluetooth ne se charge pas correctement, apportez-le, accompagné de son chargeur, dans un centre de service après-vente Samsung.

•La durée de chargement peut varier en fonction des caractéristiques techniques du chargeur.

Mise en charge filaire

Chargez le haut-parleur Bluetooth avant de l’utiliser pour la première fois ou lorsque vous ne l’avez pas utilisé depuis un certain temps.

Utilisez exclusivement des chargeurs homologués par Samsung. L’utilisation de chargeurs non homologués peut provoquer l’explosion de la batterie ou endommager le haut-parleur Bluetooth.

Ouvrez le cache des prises.

Connectez le haut-parleur Bluetooth à un chargeur.

Un branchement incorrect du chargeur peut sérieusement endommager le haut-parleur Bluetooth. Les dégâts résultant d’une mauvaise utilisation ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.

3 Une fois la batterie complètement rechargée, déconnectez le haut-parleur Bluetooth du chargeur.

• Pour économiser l’énergie, débranchez le chargeur lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas. Le chargeur n’étant pas muni d’un interrupteur Marche/Arrêt, vous devez le débrancher de la prise de courant pour couper l’alimentation. Le chargeur doit être installé à proximité de la prise de courant et doit être aisément accessible lors du chargement.

•Le socle de prise de courant doit être installé à proximité du matériel et doit être aisément accessible.

Vérifier l’autonomie de la batterie

Appuyez sur la touche Marche/Arrêt pour vérifier l’autonomie de la batterie.

Utiliser le haut-parleur

Bluetooth

Allumer et éteindre le haut-parleur Bluetooth

Maintenez la touche Marche/Arrêt enfoncée pour allumer ou éteindre le haut-parleur Bluetooth.

Lorsque vous allumez le haut-parleur Bluetooth pour la première fois, il passe en mode Appairage Bluetooth.

• Si votre haut-parleur Bluetooth se bloque et ne répond plus, maintenez la touche de volume (+), la touche de volume (-) et la touche Appairage Bluetooth simultanément enfoncées.

•Respectez l’ensemble des avertissements et instructions affichés par le personnel autorisé dans les zones où l’utilisation des appareils sans fil est limitée, comme dans les avions et les hôpitaux.

Établir une connexion à un autre appareil

Établir une connexion Bluetooth

Appairez le haut-parleur Bluetooth avec un appareil mobile. Une fois l’appairage des appareils réalisé, le haut-parleur Bluetooth se connecte automatiquement à l’appareil mobile dès que vous l'allumez.

 Haut-parleur Bluetooth  Maintenez la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture enfoncée pendant plus de trois secondes pour passer en mode Appairage Bluetooth.

Le témoin lumineux clignote en rouge, puis en bleu.

Lorsque vous allumez le haut-parleur Bluetooth pour la première fois, il passe en mode Appairage Bluetooth.

 Autre appareil  Activez la fonction Bluetooth et recherchez les appareils Bluetooth disponibles. Pour en savoir plus, reportez-vous au mode d’emploi de l’autre appareil.

Utiliser le haut-parleur Bluetooth

3  Autre appareil  Appuyez sur Scoop Design dans la liste des appareils détectés.

• Si la connexion Bluetooth échoue ou si l’autre appareil ne peut pas localiser le hautparleur Bluetooth, supprimez les informations de l’appareil de la liste des autres appareils. Ensuite, essayez de vous connecter de nouveau.

•Le rayon d’action Bluetooth et la qualité audio peuvent varier selon les appareils connectés.

Déconnecter ou reconnecter des appareils

Maintenez la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture enfoncée pendant environ trois secondes. La connexion en cours est interrompue.

Vous pouvez également mettre un terme à la connexion en désactivant la fonction Bluetooth sur l’appareil connecté.

Si la connexion Bluetooth s’interrompt en raison de la distance entre les appareils, rapprochez-les. Les appareils se reconnecteront automatiquement.

• Vous pouvez également mettre un terme à la connexion en éteignant le haut-parleur Bluetooth ou en désactivant la fonction Bluetooth sur l’appareil connecté. Lorsque vous rallumez le haut-parleur Bluetooth et que les appareils sont à portée, ou si vous activez le fonction Bluetooth sur l’appareil connecté, les appareils se reconnectent automatiquement.

•Si la connexion Bluetooth s’interrompt en raison d’un dysfonctionnement de l’appareil, utilisez le menu Bluetooth de l’appareil déconnecté pour reconnecter les appareils.

•Si la connexion Bluetooth est interrompue de façon incorrecte, des bruits peuvent être émis.

Établir une connexion à d’autres appareils

Après avoir interrompu la connexion entre le haut-parleur Bluetooth et l’appareil mobile, vous pouvez connecter le haut-parleur à d’autres appareils.

Établir une connexion via un câble audio

Connectez le haut-parleur Bluetooth à un appareil via un câble audio. Lorsque le haut-parleur Bluetooth est connecté via un câble audio, vous ne pouvez régler que le volume.

• Si le haut-parleur Bluetooth est connecté simultanément à un appareil via un câble audio et un autre appareil via Bluetooth, il ne diffuse que le son provenant de l’appareil connecté via Bluetooth.

•La prise du câble audio est optimisée pour les appareils mobiles Samsung. Lorsque vous connectez le haut-parleur Bluetooth à un autre appareil qu’un appareil mobile Samsung, la lecture peut s’interrompre tout à coup ou un effet Larsen peut se produire, selon la puissance du volume. Régler correctement le volume.

Remarques sur l’utilisation de la fonction Bluetooth

La fonction Bluetooth est une technologie sans fil utilisant une fréquence 2,4 GHz pour connecter divers appareils sur de courtes distances. Elle permet de connecter et d’échanger des données avec d’autres appareils compatibles Bluetooth, comme des appareils mobiles, des ordinateurs, des imprimantes et d’autres appareils numériques, sans nécessiter de raccordement par câbles.

•Pour éviter les problèmes lors de la connexion de votre haut-parleur Bluetooth à un autre appareil, placez-les à proximité l’un de l’autre.

•Assurez-vous que votre haut-parleur Bluetooth et l’autre appareil Bluetooth se trouvent dans le rayon d’action Bluetooth (10 m). Cette distance peut varier selon l’environnement dans lequel les appareils sont utilisés.

•Veillez à ce qu’il n’y ait aucun obstacle entre le haut-parleur Bluetooth et l’appareil connecté (corps humains, murs, coins ou clôtures).

•Ne touchez pas l’antenne Bluetooth de l’appareil connecté.

•La fonction Bluetooth utilise la même fréquence que certains produits industriels, scientifiques, médicaux et à basse puissance et, par conséquent, des interférences peuvent survenir à proximité de ces produits.

•Certains appareils, notamment ceux qui ne sont pas testés ou homologués par Bluetooth SIG peuvent être incompatibles avec votre haut-parleur Bluetooth.

•N’utilisez pas la fonction Bluetooth à des fins illégales (par exemple, piratage de copies de fichiers ou écoute illégale de communications à des fins commerciales).

Écouter de la musique

Vous pouvez écouter la musique diffusée sur l’appareil connecté.

Appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture pour écouter de la musique.

Effectuer une pause ou reprendre la lecture

Appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture pour effectuer une pause ou reprendre la lecture.

Régler le volume

Appuyez sur la touche de volume pour régler le volume pendant la lecture.

Passer à d’autres morceaux

Maintenez la touche de volume (+) enfoncée pour passer au morceau suivant en cours de lecture. Maintenez la touche de volume (-) enfoncée pour revenir au morceau précédent en cours de lecture.

Utiliser les fonctions d’appel

Lorsque le haut-parleur Bluetooth est connecté à un appareil mobile, vous pouvez répondre aux appels de l’appareil mobile connecté.

Répondre aux appels ou les rejeter

Pour répondre à l’appel, appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture. Pour rejeter l’appel, appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture.

Régler le volume

Appuyez sur la touche de volume pour régler le volume pendant un appel.

Répondre à un second appel

Lors de la réception d’un second appel, le haut-parleur Bluetooth émet un bip.

Pour interrompre le premier appel et répondre au second, appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture.

Pour mettre l’appel en cours en attente et répondre au second, appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture.

Pour passer de l’appel en cours à l’appel en attente, appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/ Lecture.

Mettre fin à un appel

Pour raccrocher, appuyez sur la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture.

Dépannage

Avant de contacter un Centre de service Samsung, veuillez essayer d’appliquer les solutions suivantes.

Le haut-parleur Bluetooth ne s’allume pas

Lorsque la batterie est complètement déchargée, votre haut-parleur Bluetooth ne s’allume pas. Chargez la batterie complètement avant d’allumer le haut-parleur Bluetooth.

Le haut-parleur Bluetooth se bloque

Si le haut-parleur Bluetooth se bloque, essayez de l’éteindre, puis de le rallumer.

Si le haut-parleur Bluetooth ne réagit toujours pas, interrompez la connexion Bluetooth et rétablissez-la. Pour ce faire, maintenez la touche Appairage Bluetooth/Lecture enfoncée pendant environ trois secondes. Dès que le haut-parleur Bluetooth passe en mode Appairage Bluetooth, connectez à nouveau les appareils, puis vérifiez le fonctionnement du haut-parleur Bluetooth.

Si le problème persiste, contactez un centre de service après-vente Samsung.

La batterie ne se charge pas correctement (pour les câbles USB et les chargeurs homologués par Samsung)

Vérifiez que le câble USB et le chargeur sont correctement connectés.

Votre haut-parleur Bluetooth ne parvient pas à se connecter à un autre appareil Bluetooth

•Lorsque vous utilisez le haut-parleur Bluetooth avec d’autres appareils Bluetooth, la connexion peut être perturbée par des ondes électromagnétiques. Utilisez le haut-parleur Bluetooth dans des environnements dans lesquels moins d’appareils sans fil sont présents.
