SAMSUNG DIGIMAX V4 SERVICE INFORMATION

1. Phenomenon

The camera works with AC Adaptor, but the camera is in power trouble with battery.
It seems that sometimes the camera acts as if the batteries are dead and stops working.
Even when you replace the batteries with new batteries, it continues to malfunction.
If you keep trying about the second or third set of batteries will work or not.

2. Resean

1) MICOM RESET IC(U2) is misplaced
The normal U2 should be
B8D, If there is a B8M on
the U2.
Please change it to B8D.

2) DC Jack defect.

Power On problem

The DC Jack is short-circuit between 1 to 3, when
displuged the AC Adaptor.
If it is open-circuit, it is abnormal.

3) In case of short-circuit of Remocon IC and battery contact.
Attached tape in order to prevent the short, but. AS time goes by, the tape is seperate or holed.
In this case, it doesn't turn the camera on.

4) Checking parts related battery voltage.

- Check the damage or misplace of U14, R67 and R68.

5) If the battery voltage level is adjusted wrong, readjust it.
