In addition to these instructions, professional knowledge of disassemble/reassembly procedures as well as post installation checks must be known. Attempts to install this system without this knowledge and expertise may jeopardize the
integrity and/or operating safety of the vehicle. Be sure you have all needed parts and know where they go. Also please
review tools needed list and make sure you have the tools needed to install the kit.
NOTICE TO DEALER AND VEHICLE OWNER
Any vehicle equipped with any Rough Country product should have a “Warning to Driver” decal installed on the inside of
the windshield or on the vehicle’s dash. The decal should act as a constant reminder for whoever is operating the vehicle of its unique handling characteristics.
INSTALLING DEALER - it is your responsibility to install the warning decal and forward these installation instructions on
to the vehicle owner for review. These instructions should be kept in the vehicle for its service life.
Tools Needed:
19mm Socket/ Wrench
1/2” Drill Bit
Drill Motor
Torque Specs:
Size Grade 5 Grade 8
1/2” 65 ft/lbs 90 ft/lbs
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Install the supplied kicker bar brackets using the supplied 1/2” x 1 1/2” bolts, washers and nut s to the rear crossmember on the driver and passenger side. Note: Make sure the brackets are straight as shown. Tighten using a
19mm socket / wrench. See Photo 1.
2. Install supplied bushings and sleeves in kicker arms and install in the brackets on the driver and passenger side with
the supplied 1/2” x 3 1/2” bolts, washers and nuts. Do not tighten at this time. See Photo 2.

3. Swing the bar up to the transmission cross-member and mark the holes to be drilled. See Photo 3.
4. Drill holes using a 1/2” drill bit. See Photo 4.

5. Install the kicker to the transmission cross-member using the supplied 1/2” x 1” bolt , wash er and nuts. See Photo 5.
6. Tighten using a 19mm socket and wrench to tighten the kicker to the cross-member and the transmission crossmember. See Photo 6.

INSTALL KICKER TO TRANS CROSS-MEMBER TIGHTEN ALL HARDWARE
7. Repeat for opposite side.
POST INSTALLATION
All components must be retightened after 500 miles, and every three thousand miles after installation.
