Hinweise zum Gebrauch
Owner’s Manual

ALLGEMEINES

Zur Kamera

Kamera nicht selbst demontieren. Sie enthält Hoch-

›

spannungselemente, die gefährlich sein können.
Ausserdem erlischt die Garantie.
Bei beschädigtem Gehäuse keine Innenteile berüh-

›

ren, um elektrischen Schlag zu vermeiden.
Falls die Kamera nass werden sollte, aus dem glei-

›

chen Grund Batterie entnehmen.

Batteriehinweise

Die Kamera funktioniert nicht ohne Batterie.

›

Beim Einlegen auf richtige Batteriepolung achten.

›

Batterie nicht wiederaufladen,

›

kurzschliessen oder demontieren,
nicht ins Feuer werfen,
keiner Feuchtigkeit aussetzen,
ausser Reichweite von Kindern und Tieren halten,
nicht in den Hausmüll werfen.

Die Rollei Prego löst nicht aus, wenn…

keine Batterie eingelegt oder die Batterie leer ist,

›

der Objektivschieber geschlossen (Kamera ausge-

›

schaltet) ist,
gezoomt oder der Film zurückgespult wird,

›

der zurückgespulte Film noch in der Rollei Prego liegt,

›

der Blitz noch nicht aufgeladen ist,

›

das Filmfach offen ist,

›

kein Film eingelegt ist.

›

Ein Mikrocomputer steuert die Prego elektronisch. In selte­nen Fällen kann es durch starke elektrische oder magneti­sche Felder zu Störungen kommen. In diesem Fall die
Batterie für 2 – 3 Minuten entnehmen. Nach erneutem
Einsetzen sollte eine eventuelle Störung behoben sein.

Rollei Prego. Bitte lesen Sie diese Anleitung vor Gebrauch
sorgfältig durch, damit Sie die vielen Möglichkeiten Ihrer
Kamera optimal nutzen können.

Empfehlung aus dem Vorbeugungsprogramm der
Kriminalpolizei:

Wer seine Wertsachen dauerhaft kennzeichnet, fotografiert
und auflistet, verdirbt Hehlern den Absatz und erspart sich
unnötigen Ärger.

Nur eine Lithium-Batterie des Typs CR-123A verwen-

Prego automatisch ab, um Energie zu sparen.
Bei längerem Nichtgebrauch der Kamera die Batterie

entnehmen.
Datumseinstellung nach einem Batteriewechsel über-

prüfen.

BATTERIEKONTROLLE

Batteriekontrolle

Das LCD-Symbol informiert über den Batteriezustand.

Kein Symbol – Batterie in Ordnung

Symbol erscheint – Batterie reicht noch für wenige Filme.

›

Ersatz-Batterie bereithalten.
Symbol blinkt – Batterie leer, Auslösen nicht mehr mög-

›

lich. Neue Batterie einsetzen.

Bitte beachten

Batterie nur bei ausgeschalteter Kamera wechseln.

›

Bei Kälte oder auf Reisen Ersatz-Batterie mitnehmen.

›

Bei niedrigen Temperaturen lässt die Batterieleistung

›

nach. Mit normaler Temperatur erreicht die Batterie
wieder ihre alte Leistung.
Batterie kann bei eingelegtem Film gewechselt werden.

›

FILM EINLEGEN

Filmeinlegen

1. Entriegelungsknopf nach unten schieben, Rückwand
aufklappen.

2. Filmpatrone in das Filmfach legen.

3. Filmzunge zu abgebildeter Länge herausziehen. Der
Film muss flach auf der Führung liegen.

4. Rückwand zudrücken, bis sie mit einem Klicken einra­stet. Dann spult die Kamera den Film automatisch bis
Bild 1 vor.

5. Danach erscheint im LCD-Monitor die abgebildete An­zeige.

Bitte beachten

Mit DX-codierten Filmen stellt die Kamera die Empfind-

›

lichkeit im Bereich von ISO 50 – 3200 automatisch ein.
Filme ohne DX-Code werden wie ISO 100 belichtet.

›

Film nie im direkten Sonnenlicht wechseln.

›

Bei falsch eingelegten Film erscheint im LCD-Monitor

›

das E-Symbol und der Auslöser wird blockiert. In diesem
Fall Film erneut einlegen.

Der voll belichtete Film wird automatisch zurückgespult.

Wenn der Film vollständig zurückgespult ist, stoppt der

Motor.
Dann blinken zugleich die Symbole für Rückwand und

Film im LCD-Monitor. Der Film kann entnommen wer­den.

Bitte beachten

Kamera während des Filmrückspulens nicht ausschal-

›

ten.
Teilbelichtete Filme können durch Drücken des manuel-

›

len Rückspulknopfes im Kameraboden jederzeit zurück­gespult werden.
Wenn der Motor stoppt, bevor die 0 erscheint, neue

›

Batterie einlegen.
Rückwand nicht öffnen, bevor der Film mit neuer Batte-

›

rie vollständig zurückgespult worden ist.

DIOPTRIENEINSTELLUNG TRAGESCHLAUFE ANBRINGEN

Dioptrieneinstellung

Objektiv auf tele stellen und an der Dioptrieneinstellung

›

drehen, bis das Bild scharf erscheint.

Trageschlaufe anbringen

Trageschlaufe wie abgebildet befestigen.

›

KAMERA EINSCHALTEN / ZOOMEN

Kamera Einschalten / Zoomen

Hauptschalter on/off drücken. Die Objektivabdeckung

›

öffnet sich, die LCD-Anzeigen erscheinen.
Motiv durch den Sucher anvisieren und mit der Zoom-

›

taste den gewünschten Bildausschnitt wählen.
Für grössere Abbildung entfernter Motive oder Nahauf-

›

nahmen auf tele drücken, für Weitwinkelaufnahmen auf

wide (Weitwinkel). Die LCD-Anzeige zeigt die Brennwei-

ten während des Zoomens in der folgenden Reihenfol­ge: 38, 45, 55, 70, 80, 90, 105, 120, 130, 140mm.

Zum Ausschalten on/off erneut drücken.

›

Objektiv kehrt dann automatisch in Ruhestellung zurück,

›

die Lamellen schliessen sich.
Wenn die Kamera länger als 3 Minuten nicht benutzt

›

wird, schaltet sie sich automatisch wieder aus.

KAMERAHALTUNG

Kamerahaltung

Mit der Hand durch die Trageschlaufe greifen.

›

Kamera ruhig und fest mit beiden Händen halten, beson-

›

ders bei Tele, um nicht zu verwackeln.
Ellbogen möglichst am Körper abstützen.

›

Kamera nahe ans Auge halten, damit das ganze Bild zu

›

überblicken ist.
Langsam, nicht ruckartig den Auslöser drücken.

›

Bitte beachten

Objektiv, Autofokus- und Belichtungssensor-Fenster so-

›

wie den Blitz nicht durch Finger, herabhängende Haare
oder der Trageschlaufe verdecken.
Bei Hochformataufnahmen sollte der Blitz oben sein,

›

damit die Lichtrichtung möglichst natürlich wirkt.

FOTOGRAFIEREN

Fotografieren

Motiv mit dem Autofokus-Messfeld in der Mitte des

›

Sucherbildes anvisieren. (S. 7)
Den Auslöser leicht drücken. Wenn die grüne LED

›

aufleuchtet, ist die Entfernung eingestellt.
Zum Fotografieren den Auslöser ganz herunterdrücken.

›

Den Auslöser vorsichtig drücken, um nicht zu verwak-

›

keln.
Wenn die grüne LED langsam blinkt, ist das Motiv

›

zwischen 0,68m und 1m entfernt, der Nahaufnahme­modus ist automatisch eingestellt.
Wenn die grüne LED schnell blinkt, ist das Motiv unter

›

0,68m entfernt, der Auslöser ist blockiert.

Solange der Blitz noch aufgeladen wird, blinkt die Blitz-

›

anzeige (AUTO), Auslösen ist nicht möglich.
Wenn die rote LED bei abgeschaltetem Blitz blinkt, Stativ

›

oder stabile Abstützung verwenden, um Verwacklungs­unschärfen zu vermeiden. Dies gilt besonders beim
Einsatz längerer Brennweiten (Tele).
Nach Abschluss der Aufnahmen Kamera abschalten.

›

Wird die Kamera 3 Minuten nicht genutzt, schaltet sie
sich automatisch ab.
In diesen Fällen zieht sich das Zoomobjektiv automa­tisch zurück, der Auslöser lässt sich nicht mehr betäti­gen. Für weitere Fotos erneut den Hauptschalter on/off
betätigen.

Schärfespeicher

Der Schärfespeicher hilft beim Scharfstellen auf Objekte

›

ausserhalb der Bildmitte (1). Das funktioniert wie folgt:

1. AF-Messfeld auf das Hauptmotiv richten. (2)

2. Auslöser leicht antippen (grüne LED leuchtet). Nicht zu
fest drücken, um unbeabsichtigtes Auslösen zu vermei­den.

3. Auslöser leicht gedrückt halten und gewünschten Bild­ausschnitt wählen. (3)
Kamera ruhig halten und dann Auslöser ganz herunter-

›

drücken.
Loslassen des Auslösers hebt die Schärfespeicherung

›

wieder auf.

Bitte beachten

Möglicherweise funktioniert das Autofokussystem der Rollei
Prego in einigen Fällen nicht. Die Verwendung des Schärfe­speichers kann hier eventuell helfen.

Das Motiv verschwindet im Hintergrund.

›

Das Motiv bewegt sich schnell.

›

Das Motiv ist horizontal oder vertikal sehr schmal

›

(z.B. ein Laternenmast).
Der Bildausschnitt enthält mehr als ein Motiv, eines nah

›

eines entfernter.
Bei Gegenlicht, Feuer, Rauch und reflektierenden Flä-

›

chen.

innerhalb des Suchermeßfeldes gemessen. So kann ein
spezielles Motiv scharfgestellt werden, auch wenn es
von anderen Motiven umgeben ist.
Schnappschuss-Aufnahmen – Die Aufnahmen erfol-

gen bei 38 mm Brennweite und festeingestellter Ent­fernung. Das Motiv muss sich im Entfernungsbereich
zwischen 1,3m und 6m befinden. Diese Betriebsart
eignet sich besonders für schwierig scharfzustellende
Motive wie z. B. spielende Kinder.
(Bei gedrückt gehaltenem Auslöser werden Serienauf­nahmen gemacht.)

Der Rotaugen-Effekt tritt vor allem bei geblitzten Portraitauf­nahmen im Dunkeln auf.

Durch das Anti-Rotaugen-Licht wird der Rotaugen-

Effekt deutlich reduziert, weil der Vorblitz ein Schliessen
der Pupillen bewirkt, bevor die Aufnahme erfolgt.

Your Prego is electronically controlled by a microcomputer.
In rare cases, strong electrical or magnetic fields may pose
a problem. Remove the battery for 2 – 3 minutes. The ca­mera should function normally after reloading the battery.

Loading the film

1. Push release knob down and open camera back.

2. Insert film cartridge into cartridge chamber.

3. Pull out film leader as shown. Film must lie flat on film
guides.

4. Click camera back shut. The camera will now automati­cally advance the film to frame 1.

5. The display shown appears in the LCD monitor.

With DX-coded film, the camera automatically sets the

film speed within a range of ISO 50/18° to 3200/36°.
The default setting for uncoded film is ISO 100/21°.

Never change films in full sunlight.

If film loading fails, an “E” will appear in the display, and

the shutter remains locked. In this case repeat the
procedure.

remains locked. To take further pictures, press ON/OFF

Spot / Snap modes

The spot/snap button serves to select one of the following
focusing modes:

Spot AF – This allows precise focusing in a crowded

›

frame, focus being limited exactly to the AF area visible
in the viewfinder.
Snapshot mode – This sets the focal length to 38 mm

›

and focus to a preset distance. With depth of field
ranging from 1.3 m to 6 m, this mode is ideal for subjects
that are difficult to focus, such as children at play.
(If you hold the shutter release down, the camera will
expose one picture after another.)

RED-EYE REDUCTION

Red-eye reduction

“Red eyes” result primarily in portraits taken in the dark with
the use of flash.

A preflash effectively reduces the effect because it

causes the pupils of the subject’s eyes to close down
farther before the flash fires.
Press the flash button once to activate this function.

Your subject should not move after the preflash until the

actual flash has fired.

When your subject is in the shade and the available light

In this mode, a second self-timed exposure will be made
two seconds after the first one.

After pressing the shutter release, the self-timer LED will

light for seven seconds and flash for the remaining three
before the exposure. A second exposure follows two
seconds later.

2-SECOND DELAY

2-second delay

A two-second delay between depression of the shutter
release and the exposure reduces the risk of camera shake
in the case of long exposures or night photography from a
tripod because it allows vibrations to die out.
Press the self button three times.

INTERVAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Interval photography (INT)

In this mode, automatic exposures can be timed at fixed
intervals from 10 to 60 seconds in increments of 10 seconds
or from 10 to 60 minutes in increments of 10 minutes.

Press the self button five times (four times in standard

›

model), until the int icon appears in the display. Release
button and wait until int stops blinking. Then select
intervals with the zoom buttons while holding the self
button down.
The first exposure is made upon depression of the

›

shutter release. The lens then retracts to its normal
position. After that, the countdown for the next exposure
starts.
Renewed depression of the self or on/off button inter-

›

rupts an interval series in progress.

or unless it has been previously interrupted manually.

CLOSE-UPS (MACRO MODE)

Close-ups (makro mode)

The macro mode ranges from 0.68 m to 1 m in the wide­angle setting and from 0.87 m to 1 m in the telephoto
setting. The camera will automatically select this range if
your subject is within this distance; the autofocus indicator
(green LED) flashes slowly, and the
display.

PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPHY

Panoramic photography

The panorama format is well-suited for especially wide or
high subjects, such as groups, scenery or architectural
subjects. The aspect ratio here is about 1:3. You may switch
to panorama any time within a roll.

Please note

Inform your lab that the film contains panorama frames

when you deliver the roll for printing.
With the QD model, date imprinting is also possible in

INFINITIV SETTING

Infinitiv setting

This mode is helpful when you wish to photograph

fardistant or untextured subjects, such as clouds, fire,
smoke as well as through window panes or cages.
Press the Infinity button and hold it down to activate this

function.

The flash will not fire in this mode.

In low light, and especially at long focal lengths, place the

camera on a firm support or use a tripod to avoid camera
shake.

Care and maintenance

To clean the camera, preferably use a soft and fluffless

cloth.
Never use alcohol or other chemical solvents.

›

Remove dust from the lens with the aid of a blower brush.

To remove smudges, carefully wipe with lens tissue or
cloth and special lens-cleaning fluid.
Protect the camera from sand, dust and water.

Protect the camera from impact, shock and vibrations.

›

Check for proper operation should the camera be
dropped or receive an impact.

Keep front lens and metering windows clean.

Store the camera in a dry, cool and dustfree place.

›

Do not leave the camera in a hot place, e.g. in a parked

car or exposed to direct sunlight.
The camera will operate flawlessly in temperatures from

–10 °C to +50 °C.
During prolonged shooting at low temperatures, a drop

in battery charge may impair the operation of the cam­era. Keep camera and spare battery well-protected from
the cold, for instance in an inside pocket of your clothing.
