Profiles of the demo project creators

OCTOPUSSY (Sound Produce)

A track-making and production team formed in 2001 by Aki Hishikawa and Tomokazu Matsuzawa. With overwhelmingly high-quality sound and groove, they are raising the standard of Japanese R&B, hip-hop, and pop. Both are also active as keyboardists and DJs. Production credits include SOULHEAD, Ken Hirai, CHEMISTRY, Kaoru Kurosawa (Gospelers), Junichi Inagaki, Crystal Kay, Sowelu, Miliyah Kato, Mika Nakashima, and Kumi Koda. D.O.I. (Mixing Engineer)

From underground hip-hop to major pop artists, D.O.I. is Japan’s busiest mixer/engineer, and is constantly in demand. In addition to his knowledge as an engineer, he is also deeply familiar with electronic musical instruments, and is active as a producer/artist. In 2003 he released his own solo album “Audible.” Artists he has worked with include Nitro Microphone Underground, Dev Large, Rhymestar, Force Of Nature, SOULHEAD, Namie Amuro, AI, Kumi Koda, and SMAP. The MV-8800’s MFX preset library P35–P44 and mastering tool kit library 22–26 were created by him.

Michiko Sellars (Vocals)

A new and eagerly anticipated vocalist produced by OCTOPUSSY. With a Japanese mother and English father, she formed an acoustic duo during her time at college, and has performed at venues that include live houses and charity events.

Michael Nyandoro

Michael Nyandoro is a member of the production team “Big Mydus” based in Bristol England focusing mainly on hip-hop and R&B music.
“I really like the way the MV brings everything together in one box, so it’s simple to get things done quickly and easily. It’s also built like a tank which is vital in a busy studio with lots of people coming and going. Most importantly, it’s also got a really punchy sound that I love. Be on the look out for NX Entertainment! The future!”
- Michael Nyandoro

Paul T.

Singapore based award winning hip hop/dance music producer/remixer whose passion for making music and knack for progressive sounds transcended to award winning albums. Always pushing for a fresh approach, his production skills have been much sought after by labels like Sony Music/Universal Music/Def Jam/ToCo and BMG. Paul has been bestowed numerous awards for his sonic endeavors and outstanding production, including three successive years of the Composers Association of Singapore’s COMPASS award for Top Local Instrumental Contemporary 1999/2000/2001. Paul had just released his new project Red Magic Sounds 2 and was responsible for co-writing and producing 3 new songs for U.S group Madison Park’s new sophomore release in the U.S-In The Stars. He is now in the midst of working on his new album scheduled for release in November 2006 and a remixed version of Jingle Bells slated for release this year end in the U.S.
