IMPORTANT WARNING!! Before taking any action to service this equipment it is compulsory to:

- open the circuit breaker and make sure that the control springs are not loaded;

- in the event of a withdrawable circuit breaker, take action with the circuit breaker withdrawn from
the fixed part;

- when taking action on circuit breakers with a fixed design, or on the fixed parts of a withdrawable
breaker, disconnect the supply to the power circuit and to the auxiliary circuits, and earth the
terminals in a clearly visible manner, both on the power side and on the load side;

- make the equipment safe in accordance with current laws and standards.

Servicing program

The tables show the servicing program, specifying the timing of the measures and the type of routine servicing procedures, which should

Inspection and general cleaning

Before taking any action:

- open the circuit breaker and make sure that the control springs are not loaded;

- when taking action on circuit breakers, disconnect the supply to the power circuit and to the auxiliary circuits
and earth the terminals in a clearly visible manner, both on the power side and on the load side;

- make the equipment safe in accordance with current laws and standards.
Check the state of cleanliness of the equipment (the circuit-breaking part), taking action to remove any dust or traces of excess

oil or grease with the aid of a clean dry cloth, using spirits or a mild detergent where necessary.
Check for the presence of the labels indicating the technical characteristics of the device.

These labels must be cleaned with a clean dry cloth.
Check for any signs of factors such as overheating or cracks that might interfere with the efficient insulation of the circuit breaker.

Make sure there are no foreign objects inside the circuit breaker compartment.
Check the tightness of the circuit breaker fixing screws, using the torque specified in the installation instructions.

Power connections between the circuit breaker and the switchboard

Remove any dust or dirt depositing on the insulating parts with the aid of a brush and clean cloths, using a mild detergent if
necessary.
Make sure there are no signs of localized overheating on the terminals.

This problem can be identified from any change in the coloring of the parts coming into contact; the parts in contact are usually
silver in color.

Check the tightness of the bolts, using the torque specified in the installation instructions and catalogues.

Auxiliary circuits

Check the proper connection of the cables and fasteners.

For the procedures for dismantling and reinstalling the escutcheon plate, refer to the circuit breaker installation instructions,
which are also available on the website.

Accessories

Make sure the accessories are firmly
attached to the circuit breaker.

Servicing procedures; final checks:

reinstall all parts and, if necessary, reconnect the auxiliary power supply

140G-NS: using the various auxiliaries in succession, perform 10 each of the following operations:

- opening (both locally and remotely, where applicable)

- closing (both locally and remotely, where applicable)

- releasing by means of a trip test from the relay

140G-N: using the various auxiliaries in succession, perform 10 each of the following operations:

- opening

- closing

- releasing with the trip test

- resetting

Check the efficient operation of any accessories.

Check the efficient operation of the geared motor, if any
Check the proper operation of the undervoltage release, if any.
Check the efficient operation of the shunt opening release, if any.
Check the efficient operation of the shunt closing release, if any.
Check the efficient operation of the circuit breaker's auxiliary contacts, if any.
Check the efficient operation of the devices for locking the circuit breaker in its inserted or withdrawn positions, if any.

Safety release

Check the efficient operation of the safety release: test the release using the Trip Test and the Autotest, where applicable.

Interlocks

Check the proper installation and efficient operation of the interlocking devices between circuit breakers placed side by side
or one above the other (if any). Their efficiency cannot be tested while the breakers are in the Test or Withdrawn positions.

Programma di manutenzione

Si riportano le tabelle del programma di manutenzione indicantI gli intervalli periodici di intervento e le operazioni di manutenzione
ordinaria, da eseguirsi in sequenza.
Si consiglia inoltre di fare riferimento alle seguenti regole:
– Anche gli interruttori che manovrano poco o che comunque rimangono chiusi o aperti per lunghi periodi devono essere sottoposti
al programma di manutenzione.

Controlli e pulizie generali

Prima di effettuare l'intervento:

- aprire l'interruttore e verificare che le molle del comando siano scariche

- per interventi su interruttori togliere tensione al circuito di potenza ed ai circuiti ausiliari e mettere a terra in modo
visibile i terminali, sia dal lato alimentazione che dal lato carico

- mettere in sicurezza in base alle norme e Leggi vigenti.
Controllare lo stato di pulizia dell'apparecchio (parte interruttiva), provvedendo ad asportare polvere ed eventuali tracce oleose
o grasso in eccedenza mediante stracci asciutti e puliti - eventualmente usare alcool o detergente non aggressivo
Verifica della presenza delle targhette recanti le caratteristiche tecniche dell'apparecchio
La pulizia delle targhette va eseguita mediante stracci asciutti e puliti
Verificare la presenza di fattori quali surriscaldamento o crepe che possono compromettere le parti isolanti dell'interruttore
Verificare che non siano presenti oggetti estranei nel comparto dell'interruttore
Controllare il serraggio delle viti di fissaggio dell’interruttore, utilizzando le coppie

indicate nelle istruzioni d’installazione

Connessioni di potenza tra l'interruttore e il quadro

Rimuovere con pennelli e stracci asciutti polvere o sporcizia presente sulle parti isolanti - eventualmente usare detergente non
aggressivo.

Controllare che non vi siano delle tracce di surriscaldamento localizzato sui terminali.
Il problema si rileva dal cambio di colorazione delle parti in contatto; le parti di contatto solitamente sono di colore argenteo.

Controllare serraggio bulloni utilizzando le coppie indicate nelle istruzioni d’installazione e sui cataloghi

Circuiti ausiliari

Verificare il corretto collegamento dei cavi e dei cinturini

Per le operazioni di smontaggio e rimontaggio della calotta fare riferimento alle istruzioni di installazione dell’interruttore,
reperibili anche sul sito internet.
