INPUT JACKS - LOW AND HIGH
1
Connect the output of your guitar to one of the 1/4”input jacks with a shielded guitar cable. Select LOW for normal, or HIGH for extra gain. Plugging into the LOW input will attenuate your guitar’s signal cooling down a “hot” guitar . These two jacks provide slightly dif ferent input levels. Experiment with these and adjust to your tastes.
2
PREAMP GAIN - DRIVE
Turning this knob clockwise determines the amount of gain (or distortion) added to the signal.
PREAMP GAIN - CLEAN
3
This knob controls the Clean Channel Level.
CH SELECT - Button & DRIVE LED
4
Channel Select button - allows you to select between the DRIVE channel or the CLEAN channel. The DRIVE LED is ON (or lit) when the DRIVE channel is active.
MASTER - Volume Control
5
The MASTER volume control adjusts the overall sound level.
REVERB control
6
Adjusts the amount of reverb added to your guitar’s signal. T urn the knob clockwise to increase the effect.
7
CHORUS button and ON/RATE LED
Push in to activate the CHORUS. The ON/RATE LED is illuminated when CHORUS is ON and flashes to indicate RATE speed.
RA TE control
8
This controls the delay time for the CHORUS effect. Lower RATE settings result in slower sweep speeds. Higher settings result in faster speeds. The ON/RATE LED flashes to indicate the rate of the speed of the sweep.
DEPTH control
9
Controls the modulation depth for the CHORUS effect. Lower DEPTH settings (counterclockwise) produce a more subtle detune effect, while higher settings produce a more extreme detuning effect.
TREBLE/MID/BASS controls
10
Tone controls or EQ. The BASS control boosts or cuts the amount of low frequency, or bass sound. Treble does the same for high frequencies, MID adjusts the midband frequencies.
PHONE (HEADPHONE) jack
11
Plugging your headphones into this jack disconnects the sound going to the speakers and allows you to practice in private.

CHROMATIC TUNER section
This built-in Chromatic tuner allows you to tune your guitar without unplugging from your amplifier. Please see “Built-in Chromatic Tuner Functions” for a more detailed description on how to operate the tuner.
POWER switch & LED
13
Turns the amp ON and OFF. When the LED is lit, the amp is on.
CHORUS FTSW (Footswitch) Jack
1
Remote control CHORUS ON/OFF with a single footswitch* connected to the input with a 1/4 jack cable.
2
REV/CH FTSW (Footswitch) Jack
T o control CHANNEL selection, plug a single footswitch* into this jack. To control REVERB ON/ OFF and CHANNEL selection, us a double footswitch* with a stereo 1/4” jack.
3
EFFECTS RETURN / SEND Jack
1/4” jacks allow you to connect to an effects processor. Plug a shielded guitar cable into the SEND jack of the RT122C into the INPUT of the “loop” section on the effects processor. Use another shielded guitar cable from the OUTPUT of the “loop” section of the effects processor to the RETURN jack on the RT122C.
PREAMP OUTPUTS - LEFT/RIGHT
4
1/4” jacks allow you to connect two seperate powered speaker cabinets or directly into a stereo power amp - like the Rocktron Velocity 100 and from the power amp into two 4x12s, a stereo 4x12 or a stereo 2x12 cabinet. The preamp output is controlled by the master volume control.
LINE OUTPUTS - LEFT/RIGHT
5
The 1/4” jacks allow you to connect to a speaker simulator and into a PA system or recording device. You may also run the signal out to a stereo power amp with volume controls and from there into two 4x12s, a stereo 4x12 or a stereo 2x12 cabinet. The line output is not controlled by the master volume control.
* Rocktron Rampage single (RFS1) and double (RFS2) footswitches are available and sold separately.

1
On/Off button
Press this button to engage the tuner function. When tuner is on the LED lights will be on depending on the note you play .
A.CALIB. button
2
A.Calib = Auto Calibration. To match the pitch of any instrument or audio source (like an old piano or tape player) press the auto calibration button while playing the note on the instrument. (Note: you might have to first tune one string on the guitar by ear to match the actual note if the piano is out of standard tuning or if tape player you are playing along with runs slower or faster than normal). Once you have one note on the guitar tuned to the source - simply play that note on the guitar - while the note is “ringing” press the Auto Calibration button. The tuning pitch of the tuner will automatically be shifted the match the pitch of the audio source. Release the button and tune the remaining strings as normal with the tuner. The tuner at this point has automatically adjusted the tuning range to match that pitch. To reset the tuner to standard 440Hz pitch you turn the tuner off and then back on again.
NOTE LED display:
3
These LEDs show the note being tuned. The LED under the note being tuned will be lit.
TUNE LED display
4
This series of 5 LEDs shows you if the note being played (tuned) is either sharp or flat.
1
To Tune:
1) Turn on tuner function
2) Play a note on your guitar . The tuner automatically senses the note being played and will show you the note which is the closest to the one being played by lighting the appropriate LED in the NOTE LED display .
CDEFGAB#
3) The “TUNE LED display shows by “how much” the guitar is out of tune from the note being played (in standard 440Hz tuning) indicated in the NOTE LED display . If the LED is to the left of the Center green LED the note is flat. Tune the string up until the LED reaches the Center green LED. Once this LED is reached the note is in tune.
b#
Flat
If the LED(s) to the right of the center green LED are lit, then the note is sharp. Tune the string down until the center green LED is lit - the note should then be “in tune”.

AGX (Automatic Gain Expander)
Rocktron’ s patented AGX system solves the long standing problem encountered by guitar players when using high gain distortion. The AGX circuit expands the gain of the amplification circuit only when required based on the input level. When no signal is present, the AGX circuit expands down the amplification level to a point where hum and noise are dramatically reduced.
