Step One
Installing Batteries
You will need...
One 9V battery for the transmitter (not included) One 7.2V battery pack for the Dodge Raminator (not included)
Put Battery in the Truck
• Lift the two latches on the back of the truck to open the battery compartment cover.
• Attach the battery pack’s connector to the vehicle’s connector. Do not force them together. They fit one way only. Place the connectors in the space inside the compart­ment and place the battery pack in the com­partment. Be sure the w ires do no t touch an y moving parts.
• Replace the cover and secure the tabs.
Put Battery in the Transmitter
• Press OPEN on the battery compartment cover and slide it off.
• Insert one 9V battery in the battery compartment, match­ing the polarity symbols (+ and -) as marked inside.
• Replace the cover and snap it on.

Driving the Dodge Raminator
• Turn the Dodge Raminator on. The headlights illuminate
• Use the transmitter’s controls to drive and steer the truck.
• When you finish driving the vehicle, turn the transmitter and vehicle off.

Installing the Antenna Tube
Route the antenna wire’s loose end through the supplied plastic tube and insert the tube securely into the truck’s antenna tube holder.
Reverse

• Push forward to move forward. For turbo speed, push forward and to the right.
• Pull backward to move backward.
• Release to stop.
Battery Notes
Care & Use
• Use only fres h batteries of the required size an d recommended type.
• Use only the recommended battery pack and charger. You may purchase a charger at your local RadioShack store.
• When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace its battery. Never leave dead or weak batteries in the vehicle or transmitter.
• Do not charge the battery pack while it is in the vehicle or immediately after use. Allow it to cool first.
• After you charge the battery pack (12 to 14 hours), disconnect it from the charger. Overcharging the battery pack might damage it.
• Do not mix old a nd ne w ba tterie s, d iff erent typ es of batter ies (a lkal ine, sta ndar d, or recha rgeab le), o r rech arge able batte ries of dif­ferent capacities.
• If you do not plan t o u se the vehicle for a week or more, remove the batteries from it and the transmitte r. Batteries can leak chem­icals that may destroy electronic parts.
• Ensure the connectors and wires are positioned so they do not touch moving parts.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.
The FCC Wants You to Know
Your vehicle might cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly. To determine whe ther your vehicle is causing the interfer ence, tur n it off. If the interference goes away, your vehicle is causing it. Try to eliminate the interference by:
• moving your vehicle away from the receiver
• contacting your local RadioShack store for help
If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC req uires that you stop using your vehicle.

Hints & Tips
• The supplied box wrench lets you easily remove and replace the truck’s wheels. Be careful not to discard the wrench when you unpack the truck.
• Driving your Dodge Raminator for long pe riods of time can generate a high heat level, which causes wear and tear on the motor. To help keep heat levels down, when your vehicle’s battery power dies, let it cool for at least 10 minutes before rechargi ng the battery.
• Do not touch the motor immediately after using the Dodge Raminator, as it may become hot during use.
• If your vehicle’s motor runs, but does not respond to the transmitter, move closer to the vehicle and try again.
• If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with the control of your

• You cannot operate your vehicl e ne ar de vices with tran smitters that use the same frequenc y as your vehicle (27 MHz or 49 MHz ). Check the box to see which frequency you have.
• If your vehicle moves slowly, or not at all, and you have installed new batteries, check the wheel mechanism for lint, dust, hair or thread.
• When the transmitter’s range decreases, replace its battery.
• If your vehicle does not drive in a straight line, adjust the wheel align­ment control on the bottom of th e vehicle. If the vehicle pulls to the right, turn the control to ward L, a nd if it pulls t o the left, turn the contr ol tow ard R.
• Do not play with your vehicle in the street.
• The Dodge Raminator reaches much higher speeds (780 ft. per min ut e) than most radio-controlled car s. Avoid high­impact collisions with people and objects.
• If the Dodge Raminato r gets st uck under an object, immediately release both controls on the transmitter. Then, retrieve the vehi­cle.
• Wipe the vehicle occasionally with a damp cloth to keep it looking new.
• Tampering w i th your vehicle’s e lectronic parts may cause damage to the vehicle. If your vehicle does not operate properly , take it to your local RadioShack store for assis­tance.
