PC / Laptop Crossover cable or network access to the target MFP SD Card Reader (only if installing using Method 2)

1. Java Type VM Card at recommended version. (1 per device). Java card update files with instructions are available on the TSC website.

1. Install the Java VM Card
Power OFF the MFP Insert The Java VM Card into the service slot on the MFP. Power on the MFP.
2. Configure SP Mode on MFP
Enter Service Program Mode (SP Mode) Press System Sp Go to SP 5113-1 Confirm that is set to 0 Go to SP 5113-2 Set to 1:Expansion device 1 Press OK Exit Exit
3. Confirm that User Authentication is OFF
Enter User Tools Press System settings Press Administrator Tools Press Next Select User Authentication Management Confirm that is turned OFF Press OK Exit Exit

4. Configure Restriction Settings
Enter User Tools Press System Settings Press Administrator Tools Press Next Select Enhanced External Charge Unit Management button Select All Copier, Printer, and Document Server buttons (see examples on next page)
“Note: If the Enhanced External Charge Unit Management button does not show up in User Tools, go back to Step 2 and make sure SP 5113-2 is set correctly.”

5. Set the Function Priority to Java TM
Enter User Tools Press System Settings Press Function Priority Press JavaTM/X Press OK Press Exit Press Exit
6. Connect to Web Image Monitor (Through network or crossover cable.) Login to WIM as an administrator (admin) Click on Configuration Configure SNMP as shown.

Note: The Default Community names are “public “and “admin”.
7. Install the User Account Limits Application Software on the MFP
There are two different methods of installing the User Account Limits Application onto an MFP. Method 1 is to install the application via the Web Image Monitor, method 2 is to create a preconfigured Java SD card and install at the MFP panel. This guide will show both methods.
