PERFORMA C30
center-channel loudspeaker.
INTRODUCTION
The REVEL®PERFORMA™ C30 center-channel loudspeaker draws upon the same research, resources, and unique perspective made famous by Revel’s ULTIMA™ Series, resulting in standardsetting low coloration and freedom from distortion over an extraordinarily wide dynamic range.
The REVEL PERFORMA C30 loudspeaker provides this exceptional performance uniformly over a wide listening area through the use of placement compensation circuits tested in a wide range of real-world applications. Individually hand-tuned crossovers assure that this loudspeaker will produce the same extraordinary sound quality as the original reference standard, and an ideal timbre match to Revel left and right front loudspeakers. Its superior performance, validated by our objective listening tests, will greatly enhance the enjoyment of music or film sound in your home.
ABOUT THE MANUAL AND WARRANTY
To begin enjoying your new loudspeaker, first read and then perform the instructions in this owner’s manual. Maximum performance depends on following all instructions described here, as well as those found in the owner’s manuals of associated components in your audio system. Save these instructions for future reference.
The REVEL PERFORMA C30 center-channel loudspeaker is covered by a limited 5-year warranty, so save the bill of sale to protect your purchase and aid in any service-related questions.

DESCRIPTION
The REVEL PERFORMA C30 loudspeaker uses two 6.5-inch (165 mm) inverted magnesium/aluminum-alloy dome woofers, a 4-inch (102 mm) inverted magnesium/aluminum-alloy dome midrange, and an aluminum-alloy dome 1-inch (25 mm) tweeter.
Combined with an individually-optimized crossover network, this transducer arrangement provides a uniform “listening window” or area in which the sound varies little. The dual high power-handling woofers and high-order crossover networks assure an extraordinary dynamic range capability with very low dynamic compression. Full magnetic shielding allows use near a video monitor.
WOOFERS
The two 6 .5-inch (165 mm) woofers feature:
• 1.5-inch (38 mm) diameter voice coils wound on Kapton bobbins for unsurpassed dynamic capability and freedom from compression.
• Fully-pistonic operation throughout their entire operating range, with inverted magnesium/aluminum alloy diaphragms for low coloration and distortion.
• Large 26-ounce (0.737 kg) magnet system with optimized circuits for vanishing low distortion.
• Die-cast basket to eliminate coloration from resonances.
MIDRANGE
The 4-inch (102 mm) midrange features:
• 1.5-inch (38 mm) diameter voice coil on a Kapton
®
former for
extraordinary power handling and freedom from distortion.

TWEETER
The 1-inch (25 mm) tweeter features:
• An aluminum-alloy dome for fully-pistonic operation.
• Ferrofluid magnetic cooling for high power handling and low dynamic compression.
• Large co-polymer surround for linear operation over a wide dynamic range.
CROSSOVER NETWORK
The REVEL PERFORMA C30 crossover is expertly designed to seamlessly integrate the transducers over a wide listening area, and to compensate for a wide range of listening environments. The crossover features:
• A 3-way, high-order crossover at 280 Hz and 2.5 kHz for high power handling, optimized dispersion, and freedom from distortion and dynamic compression.
• Individual calibration to match each REVEL PERFORMA C30 to the original reference standard.
• 3-position placement compensation switch for low coloration under a wide range of conditions.
• Calibrated high-frequency level control for accurate, repeatable settings.
• Separate woofer, midrange, and tweeter crossover boards to eliminate any distortion-causing interaction.
CABINET
The cabinet is constructed of 0.75-inch (19 mm) thick MDF walls with extensive internal bracing for unshakable performance. Three cast aluminum feet adorn the cabinet for superior coupling to any surface.
