How to Use
Usage Tips
First: Charge it
Before using your personal groomer for the first time, put it on charge for 14-16 hours.
To charge your groomer
Your groomer automatically begins to recharge as soon as it is plugged into the charging adapter. While it is charging, the red indicator lightwill be on. Your groomer cannot be turned on while it is charging.Do not attempt to operate groomer when it is plugged into the charging adapter.
Use only the charging adapter supplied with the groomer.
Charging should be done at temperatures between 40° and 95°F, or it could decrease the battery’s life.
Make sure the groomer is turned off.
Connect the cord to the groomer, then
plug the charging adapter into the electrical outlet.A charging indicator light will come on.
Your groomer cannot be overcharged, so you can leave it plugged in and charging between uses. But if the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time (2-3 months) unplug it and fully recharge when you want to use it again.
In order to preserve the life of the batteries, they should be fully discharged every six months and then fully charged for 24 hours.
Remington®rechargeable groomers are designed only for cordless operation.
Remington®rechargeable groomers are powered by Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) environmentally safe batteries.
Hairs should be free of lotions when using your groomer.
Never use groomer with damaged or
broken cutter units.
A t t a c h m e n t s
Your personal groomer has five different attachments to meet all your grooming needs.Just place the attachment on the handle and turn it clockwise until the lock symbols align.

Cosmetic trimmer and detail trimmer
You can use these attachments for trimming unwanted eyebrow hair, fine downy facial hair, nose and ear hair, or any stray body hairs.
Mini-shaver
You can use this attachment for smaller areas such as your bikini line, underarms or the fine, downy hair on your face.It was not designed to shave larger areas such as your legs.Use it dry, or use it wet with soap, foaming gel,or body wash if you prefer.
Hold the groomer so the mini-shaver screen gently touches your skin. This allows the unit to work the way it was designed for the closest shave and minimum screen wear.Avoid holding the groomer at an angle. This will distort the screen and may cause some skin irritation.

Cleaning & Maintenance
To assure optimal performance,Remington recommends you turn off the groomer after each use and unplug the adapter when it’s not being used to recharge the groomer.
Clean your groomer regularly
Cleaning with brush
Your groomer’s cutting blades are permanently lubricated and will never need oiling if they are never exposed to water. To maintain this lubrication, use the enclosed brush to clean the unit.
Thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings from the cutter, the bottom of the attachments, and the top of the power handle.
Cleaning with water
Your groomer’s trimmer attachments hav e r u s t - r e s i s t a n t ,stainless-steel cutting blades t h at permit the cutting assemblies to be rinsed under running water if you choose.
Remove all attachments by rotating them counterclockwise to the unlock position and pulling the attachment off.
Rinse the attachments under warm running water. Do NOT use hot water, which may cause damage to components.
! Do not use harsh or corrosive cleaners
on the unit or its attachments.
! Do not apply pressure or hard objects
to attachments.
®
Cleaning the Mini-shaver
Thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings from the cutter, the bottom of the attachments, and the top of the power handle or you may rinse.
Press the buttons at the ends of the screen head.
Remove the head and shake out the clippings or rinse.
Blow off the cutter assembly or rinse.
Replace the head, making sure the unit
snaps in place.
Oiling the blades:
If you use your trimmer in the shower or rinse the attachments, you will need to lubricate the cutter blades once a month with blade oil.Simply spread 1-2 drops of oil lightly over the cutters with your fingertip.Wipe away any excess oil from the cutters or the groomer.
Oil cautions
Use only the light-grade oil supplied or a
suitable alternative like sewing machine oil – these oils will not evaporate and will not slow down the blades.
Do not use hair oil, grease,or any oil
mixed with kerosene or solvent,as the solvent will evaporate and leave the thick oil, slowing the blades.
Note:Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area.Do not store it in temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C).
