INTRODUCTION
60% of the buildings that will be standing in 2050 are already here with us today.
So tomorrow, there will be a great need for intelligent heating technology specifically
designed for refurbished buildings. This is where Remeha’s advanced thinking is leading
the way. To a future where our highly efficient heating systems help to improve the
overall energy efficiency of refurbished buildings. Giving them new life and a more
sustainable future.
THE REMEHA FUSION
Low Carbon heating with maximum efficiency.
Remeha has been at the forefront of gas boiler technology and innovation for decades, now we
have an addition to the family, the Remeha Fusion which is a range of Low Carbon Gas Absorption
Heat Pumps (GAHP).
These heat pumps are a ready made low carbon solution for commercial, industrial and larger
residential applications.
These heat pumps not only take energy from the surrounding air but also employs a highly efficient
gas condensing heat generator to maintain high operational efficiencies.
Using gas as the primary energy source directly at the point of use, rather than electricity which
is largely generated from the inefficient
coal or gas fired power stations, the
Remeha Fusion has a significantly smaller
carbon footprint as a result.
The Remeha Fusion also cuts costs even
further when you factor in the price of gas
when compared with electricity, which is
typically a third of the price.
The heat pump can provide up to 65% of
additional heat by drawing in free energy
from the surrounding air.
When you take into account both of these
factors, the heat pump helps to provide
reduced energy and carbon emissions
when compared with conventional
methods of providing heat to buildings.
Ammonia refrigerant which has a zero
global warming potential (GWP) and
ozone depletion (ODP) is used
in the Remeha Fusion.
The Remeha Fusion is supplied either
as a single stand alone unit or as a
cascade system. These can be
integrated with condensing
boilers such as the Quinta Pro,
Gas 210 Pro and the Gas 316/610 Pro.

OVERVIEW
REMEHA FUSION
OVERVIEW
Remeha Fusion range
There are two versions available:
Remeha Fusion HP35A LT (Low Temperature)
The LT version has been optimised to operate on low
temperature circuits like under floor heating and has a
maximum operating flow temperature of 55°C.
Remeha Fusion HP35A HT (High Temperature)
The HT version has been optimised to operate on higher
temperature circuits and is suitable for production of hot
water, this unit has a maximum flow temperature of 65°C.
Remeha Fusion Cascade Units
Cascade systems are available in either the LT or HT format,
and these are supplied from 2 to 5 units on one skid mounted
frame. These units can achieve outputs from 70 - 175kW.
If you require higher outputs then you simply add multiple
cascade units together to achieve the desired output.
In a cascade system the flow/return and gas pipework are
supplied fully pre-assembled, so the installation time is
reduced. Each individual unit is single phase as standard,
however the cascade system requires a three phase supply
to the electrical control panel.
The Fusion should be sized to achieve 4000 hours or greater
and to take into account the base heating load. Buffer
vessels are normally used as part of the system design.
All versions are for external use only. A low noise brushless
fan is fitted which keeps the environmental noise down to
a minimum. Anti vibration pads are available to reduce the
transmission noises throughout the building.
All versions are suitable to be used in conjunction with
existing Remeha products like the Quinta Pro, Gas 210 Pro
and the Gas 310/610 Pro boiler range.
All versions are suitable for on/off, 0-10v and Open Therm
modulating control systems, so integrating them with
Remeha boilers makes it even simpler.

MANY ADVANTAGES
Accessories
Vibration dampers for stand-alone heat
pumps aswell as cascade configurations
0-10V interface
CAN-OpenTherm interface
Trace heating for all cascade configurations
(2, 3, 4 and 5 GAS HP)
Remeha Fusion heat pumps can be used in:
Existing buildings, including base load optimisation
in installations with a medium to high
heating capacity
Swimming pools, hotels, healthcare institutions
Industr y: for heating process
water and climatecontrol
Retail: individual stores as well as
larger shoppingcentres
Offices
Industrial construction
Apartment blocks
In general, the Remeha Fusion is very well-suited
to applications in both existing and new buildings.
The Remeha Fusion is equipped with a two stage frost
protection as standard with the circulating pump
being switched on for the first stage and if necessary
the burner is fired in conjunction with the circulating
pump for the second stage frost protection, trace
heating is also available as an optional extra. If for
any reason that the gas or electrical supplies cannot
be guaranteed during colder weather, then a water/
antifreeze mixture should be considered, further
advice should be obtained from the Renewables
technical department on 0118 978 3434.
