If there is only one output, If the TV has only one output, the connection should be made to the L/MONO input on the subwoofer. ( Refer to your TV instruction manual for further information.)
CONTROLS AND ADJUSTMENTS
Your subwoofer contains the following three controls that give you maximum flexibility in usage:
VOLUME CONTROL This control is located on the front of the subwoofer. When the power is on, the LED is green. When the power is off (stand-by mode) the LED will be red. When the unit is unplugged, the LED will not be lit.
FREQUENCY CUT (100/200 Hz) This push button control is located on the back of the unit. It is used to set the top level of frequency you want passed by the subwoofer. Use the cut off frequency of the system you are using with your subwoofer. After installing the subwoofer, try both positions to determine the best sound. Normally, if your main speakers are relatively small, you should use the 200Hz cut off. If your main speakers are large, you should use the 100 Hz cut off.
PHASE This push button control is located on the back of the unit. It is used to match the phase with your main speakers. After installing the subwoofer, determine which position sounds best with your system. Place the subwoofer in the location you intend to keep it before adjusting the phase.
Subwoofer placement in the room is relatively unimportant. The subwoofer is magnetically shielded, so you can place it beside the television, or anywhere you choose in the room.
