Controls and adjustments
Your subwoofer contains the following two controls that give you maximum
flexibility in usage:
-- VOLUME CONTROL This control is located on the front of the unit. When
the power is on, the LED is green. When the power is off (standby mode) the
LED will be red. When the unit is unplugged, the LED will not be lit.
-- PHASE SELECT This push button control is located on the back of the unit.
It is used to match the phase with your main speakers. After installing the
subwoofer, determine which position sounds best with your system. Place
the subwoofer in the location you intend to keep it before adjusting the
phase.
-- FREQUENCY SELECT SWITCH This push button control is located on the
back of the unit. Select the 100Hz position if your main speakers are
medium to large in size. Select the 200 Hz position if your main speakers are
smaller.
Subwoofer placement in the room is important is so far as the unit is not
magnetically shielded. Placing it too close to your TV may affect its
reception.
For your safety
The AC power plug is polarized (one blade is wider than the
other) and only fits into AC power outlets one way. If the plug
won’t go into the outlet completely, turn the plug over and try
to insert it the other way. If it still won’t fit, contact a qualified
electrician to change the outlet, or use a different one. Do not
attempt to bypass this safety feature.
