Contact problems of edge connectors and bus connections

All thermocouple connections are explicitly excluded from his instruction!

Very often we are getting back pcb which are marked as defective.
Quality control has found on some of them, that the contacts of the edge connectors show
signs of abrasion and oxidation. This is related to minimal vibrations between the pcb itself and
plugs connected to the wire harness.

Rational now offers a contact grease to avoid and correct such effects.

grease on the RJ45 connectors

In order to avoid unnecessary changing of electronic components like
blower motor etc. we are asking you to use this grease before such major components are
changed. Remove the plugs from the pcb and apply some grease (as shown below) before
reconnecting them.
