TRANSFORMER MOUNTING PLATE

General Description

e Rane KTM 6 is a panel kit used to mount amplifier dis­tribution transformers for the MA 6S. ree different transform­ers can be ordered:

• 100 W with 70.7 Vrms and 25 Vrms output taps

• 100 W with a 100 Vrms tap

• 300 W with 70.7 Vrms and 25 Vrms output taps.

ese transformers are user-mounted to a 19" wide rack­mount steel panel. Up to six 100 watt transformers or three 300
watt transformers can mount to the panel. 100 watt and 300
watt transformers can be mixed and matched. Some useable
configurations: six 100 watt transformers...four 100 watt and one
300 watt transformers...two 100 watt and two 300 watt trans­formers... or three 300 watt transformers.

e KTM 6 panel and transformers are ordered and shipped
in separate packages.

Note: ese are true transformers, not autoformers.

Architectural Specifications

e KTM 6 is a plate that may consist of up to (6) 100 W or
(3) 300 W transformers mounted on a common 12 gauge steel
panel. is steel panel is rack mountable and requires (3) rack
spaces.

Each transformer shall have a separate primary winding and
tapped secondary winding, with the primary rated for either 100
W, or 300 W, 8 Ω and the tapped secondary rated for 70.7 Vrms
or 25 Vrms. (Please note that the 100 W, 100 V has only one
secondary rated for 100 Vrms output.)

Frequency response shall be from 50-15 kHz (+0/–3 dB)
with total harmonic distortion not to exceed 0.25% for 100 W
output, or 0.5% for 300 W output.

Input and output wiring connectors shall be #8 screw termi­nals (100 W) or #10 screw terminals (300 W) attached to each
transformer.

e transformer plate shall be a Rane Corporation model KTM 6.
