Rane AC 24A User Manual

Cross-over Crossover.
Our new AC 24 combines the power of Rane DSP
AC 24
Since HF compression drivers trade even response for wider dispersion, we’ve included 2 kHz8 kHz Horn EQ for High and Hi-Mid bands.
Inside, a univeral power supply automatically switches to any local voltage.

front and formidable digital signal processing power inside, the AC 24 does things no other stereo 4-way crossover can.
It gives you the precision of 24 dB/ octave slopes — yet maintains perfect filter phase accuracy.
Link switch applies the same limiting to all channel bands.
Or apply different limiting to each band. LEDs show the status.
MID
Thank you Siegfried Linkwitz (and Mr. Riley, too). They came up with the filter design,
we pioneered its use in pro audio. Maintaining Linkwitz-Riley crossover’s phase accuracy at 24 dB per octave is no easy feat using analog components. It also requires proper delay for each transducer. That’s the beauty of the AC 24 24 –— it does its work in the digital domain, maintaining perfect filter phase accuracy and allowing the easy addition of individual delays.

All rotary controls merely send data to the internal DSP (instead of actually being in the signal path), so they don’t affect sound quality.
Hi-Mid / High crossover point (4-way mode) is variable from 1.25 kHz to 12.5 kHz.
0 ms to 10 ms delay control on each band.
HIGH
Mute switches on each band.
Mid / High crossover point is variable from 160 Hz to 1.6 kHz.
3-Way / 4-Way modes.

internal DSP lets
us include a 0 ms to
10 ms delay on each
band so you can time-compensate your drivers.
Individual/linkable limiters let you crank out maximum SPLs. Separate dual-band CD Horn EQs optimize compression driver frequency response.
All this with perfect phase accuracy, higher reliability than analog units and top notch RFI immunity.
