SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all of these instructions and keep them
for future reference.
Follow all warnings and instructions on the unit as
well as in the operating instructions.
1. Water and Moistur e: FOR INDOOR USE ONLY
— Do not use the plug-in antenna near water or
moisture — for example, near a bathtub, sink, in
a wet basement, etc.
2. Heat: Do not place near sources of heat — for
example, radia tors, heaters, etc.
3. Power Sources: You should opera te this plug-in
antenna only from a standard 120V AC, 60 Hz
power source, as indicated on the m arking label.
4. Grounding or Polarization: This plug-in
antenna is equipped with a safety, 3-prong
grounding plug, designed to fit only into a
grounded power outlet. If you are unable to
insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace your old outlet. Do not defeat
the safety purp ose of the grounding plug.

5. Lightning: For added protection, unplug the
plug-in anten na from the outlet duri ng a lightning
storm or when leaving it unattended or unused
for long periods of time.
6. Servicing: Unplug this product from the outlet
and refer serv icing to qualifi ed service personnel
when:
• The unit has been exposed to rain or mois-
ture.
• The unit has been dropped or the enclosure
is damaged.
• The unit does not appear to operate normally,
or exhibits a marked change in performance.
7. Cleaning: Before cleaning the plug-in antenna,
unplug it from the wall outlet . Do not use liqui d or
aerosol cleaner s. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
8. Replacement Parts: When the plug-in antenna
requires replacement of parts, be sure the service technician uses only approved replacement
parts. Unauthorized substitutions could result in
fire, electric shock, or other haza rds.
9. Overloading: Do not overload wall outlets,
extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as thi s can result in a risk of fir e or electric
shock.

OPERATION
1. Plug the plug-in antenna into a standar d AC outlet. The red LED lights to indicate that the internal amplifier has power.
2. Connect a coaxial cable (RG-6 or RG-59, not
supplied) between your TV/VCR/FM receiver’s
antenna input jack and the F-Connector output
jack at the base of the plug-in antenna.
Your local Radio Shack store has a wide selection of coaxial cables.Plug your TV/VCR/FM
receiver’s AC power cord into the plug-in
antenna’s AC outlet.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your Amplified FM/VHF/UHF Plug-In Antenna is an
example of superior design and craftsmanship. The
following suggestions will help you care for your antenna so you can enjoy it fo r years.
Keep the antenna dry. If it gets wet,
wipe it dry immediately. Liquids
might contain minerals that can corrode the electronic circuits.
Handle the antenna gent ly and carefully. Dropping it can damage circuit
boards and cases and can cause the
antenna to work imprope rl y.
Use and store the antenna only in
normal temperature environments.
Temperature extremes can shorten
the life of electronic devices and distort or melt pl astic parts.
Keep the antenna away from dust
and dirt, which can cause premature
wear of parts.

Wipe the antenna with a damp cloth
CLEANER
occasionally to keep it looking new.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to
clean the antenna.
Modifying or tampering with the antenna’s internal
components c an cause a mal function and might i nvalidate your antenna’s warranty. If your antenna is not
performing as it should, take it to your local Radio
Shack store for assistance.
