4. When the batteries finish charging, the indicator turns off. Unplug the charger from the outlet, then remove the batteries or AAA battery adapter(s) from the charger.
Charging Batteries with Different Capacities
The charger can be used to recharge Ni-Cd batteries with capacities greater than 850 mAh and Ni-MH batteries with capacities greater than 1600 mAh. Simply reset the charger to begin a second charge cycle for batteries with larger capacities. For batteries with less capacity, simply remove batteries before the charge cycle is complete, based on estimated charge times in the following chart.
AA 1600 13 hr., 10 min. AAA 180 3 hr., 35 min. AAA 550 11 hr. AAA 600 12 hr.
Batteries will not be damaged by leav-

ing them in the charger until the timer turns it off.
To calculate the charge time for your battery, based on its rated capacity, use the following formulas.
For AA batteries:
Charge time in hours =
the capacity of your battery × .0082
For AAA batteries:
Charge time in hours
= the capacity of your battery × .02
