Installation Difficulty: ADVANCED
All-Wheel Drive Upgrade
Thank you for purchasing your All-Wheel Drive Upgrade
kit from RadioShack. This kit lets you upgrade your
XMODS® Street or Evo® RC car from standard twowheel drive to all-wheel drive for improved traction and
cornering. To complete this upgrade, you will need a
small Phillips head screwdriver.
Use the following chart to determine which center
shaft to use:

Before installing, complete the following steps:
• Turn off your vehicle and controller.
• Detach the car body.
• Remove the antenna.
• Remove the batteries.

Remove the tie rod holder
(two screws).

Remove the tie rod (two
screws).

Remove the front attachment (two
screws), and remove the front gear
case cover (two screws) to remove
front gear

Insert the rounded ends
of the drive shafts into the
front tires.

Attach one 10mm bearing
to each side of the front
differential gear.

Insert a 6 mm bearing onto the central shaft.

Slide one center gear onto the center shaft. Slowly
rotate the gear to fit on the flat side of the center
shaft.

Install the differential gear
assembly into the front drive
unit and insert the flat ends
of the drive
shafts into the
10mm
bearing
differential
gear.

Insert the back end of the center shaft into the
vehicle. The 6mm
bearing and
center gear
should
remain
visible.
