INSTALLING BATTERIES
The bike radio uses four C batteries for power. We recommend alkaline batteries, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-551.
1. Turn the mounting bracket's knob counterclockwise to loosen it and remove the bracket.
2. Press down and slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrows and lift off the cover.
3. Install the batteries on top of the battery ribbon, placing them as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside the compartment.
4. Replace the cover and mounting bracket. Turn the mounting bracket's knob clockwise to secure it.
Note: If you do not plan to use the bike radio for a week or more, remove the batteries. This protects the radio from possible battery leakage.
