RDX 8000 Version 1.33

The following are the enhancements, resolved issues , and know issues
associated with this release of the product.

Enhancements For this release of RDX 8000, the following enhancements are included.

• Second Ethernet port is enabled for Adaptive Load Bal

The following are the enhancements, resolved issue s , and know issues
associated with this release of the product.

Enhancements For this release of DATASTOR Shield, the following enhancements are included.

•Vaulting

• Added a new 'vault' data storage format designed for fast streaming of
data to and from tape devices and cloud accounts.

• AES 256 Encryption

• Automatic encryption of data before transfer to cloud and optionally to
tape.

• Configure Vaulting wizard

• New Configure Vaulting wizard for setting cache drive, encryption
passphrase and vault media Owner ID.

• Store Vaulting Task

• Allow users to copy deduplicated Store data to tape and/or cloud for
long-term archiving with scheduled tasks.

• Cloud Storage

• Integrated support for Amazon S3 cloud storage.

• Add and manage cloud accounts.

• Control bandwidth usage on cloud uploads.

• Control bandwidth usage on cloud downloads.

• Monitor real-time upload/download activity with graphical display and
table showing statistics including description, time remaining, percent
complete, transfer rate, size and status.

• View cloud account usage statistics.

• View individual cloud vault usage statistics.

• Add Tape Device' wizard for configuring SCSI/SAS attached tape libraries
for use by the software.

• Support for Archive Manager System disaster recovery.

• Scheduled task for exporting Archive Manager settings gathered into a
zip file and stored to a folder or cloud account.

• Wizard for importing settings back into an Archive Manager system.

• Enhanced Deduplication

• Innovative patent-pending technology for improving deduplication
ratios on large dynamic files like Exchange and SQL databases,
substantially reducing backup times.

• Documentation

• Updated Help documentation to include new features.

Resolved Issues For this release of DATASTOR Shield, the following issues were resolved.

• Field Issue 138 - Unable to explore a point-in-time on a system with locked
down internet connection settings through group policy

Known Issues For this release of DATASTOR Shield, there are no known issues.

Installation Instructions Quantum strongly recommends that you back up all files before upgrading

software or firmware.
To install Quantum DATASTOR Shield Version 7.0.85.1, perform the following

procedure.

1 Download Quantum DATASTOR Shield Version 7.0.85.1 to a folder on your

hard drive, and make note of the location of the folder.

2 Open the folder and double-click

'Quantum_DATASTOR_Shield_7_0_85_1.exe' to begin the installation/
upgrade.

3 Follow the installation/upgrade wizard prompts to completion.

NDX NAS 1U Version 1.02

Enhancements For this release of NDX NAS, there are no enhancements.

Resolved Issues For this release of NDX NAS 1U version 1.02 12/16/20 11, the following issue was

resolved.

An improper shut down of the server (for example, pulling the plug during
boot) can result in the drives being re-initialized. During drive initialization
the drive LEDs flash red/green. Once initialized, drives no longer flash red.
To prevent this condition from occurring, always use Microsoft Windows
proper shut-down procedure. If re-initialization occurs, LED activity is
normal.

Note: Re-initialization recovers the existing RAID—no data loss is seen.



Know Issues For this release of NDX NAS, there are no known issues.
