Important Information About
Your New Tape Drive
• Before installing the tape drive run the driver installer from the
CD-ROM.
• USB: Always connect to a USB 2.0 port (on a computer running
Windows or Linux).
• USB: The tape drive should be the only device on the USB hub.
• SCSI: Connect to an Ultra 160 SCSI HBA or higher

• SCSI: Use a SCSI cable and terminator
• For optimum performance use DAT 160 media cartridges
(MR-D6MQN-xx)
NOTE: The DAT 160 cartridge is larger than previous generations of
DAT cartridges.
