Warning: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with a genuine Pure internal Li-ion rechargeable battery. Battery replacement should only be
carried out by Pure or authorised representatives.
To replace the battery pack, contact your local dealer or visit the Pure technical support site at support.pure.com.
Dispose of the battery as per normal Lithium ion rechargeable batteries according to the local laws and regulations of your region. Some batteries may be accepted for
disposal at your local recycling centre.
Do not tear or remove the plastic covering or any part of the battery. Do not puncture, modify, drop, throw, or cause other unnecessary shocks to the battery. Batteries may
present a risk of fire, explosion, or chemical burn if mistreated.
Do not dispose of the battery in a fire or incinerator, or leave in hot places such as a motor car under direct sunlight. Do not store batteries near an oven, stove, or other
heat source.
Do not connect the battery directly to an electrical source, such as a building outlet or automobile power-point. Do not place batteries into a microwave oven, or into any
other high-pressure container.
Do not immerse the battery in water or otherwise get it wet.
Do not short circuit the battery.

Getting started

1. Inser t the connector of the mains power adapter into the socket
on the rear of Voca and plug in to the mains power supply.
Note: If Voca’s battery needs charging, the power light will start

to flash orange. Voca’s power light will turn off once the battery
is fully charged.
2. Hold down the power but ton ( ) on the top of Voca until it
lights steady green.

3. Check that the Bluetooth icon ( ) on the top of Voca is
flashing blue. If not, press the Bluetooth button until the
Bluetooth icon starts to flash blue.
4. Open the Bluetooth set tings on your Bluetooth device (see
your Bluetooth device ma nual for more information) and
select ‘Voca’ from the list of available devices.
Voca will sound a tone and the Bluetooth icon ( ) on the
top of Voca will light steady blue to indicate that pairing
has completed.
5. Select the content that you want to listen to on your
Bluetooth device.
Your selected content will start to play on Voca.
Note: Voca will automatically enter standby after 30 minutes
of inactivity.

Using Voca to make or answer phone calls
If you have paired Voca to a mobile phone, you can use Voca to place or answer phone calls (see page 5 to find out how to
pair your phone to Voca).
Note: Make sure that you are close enough to speak into the microphone when making phone calls.
Making a phone call
To make a phone call using Voca, dial the number that you
want to call on your mobile phone. When you have finished
your call, briefly press the
Answering an incoming call
When your phone receives a call, Voca will stop playing
whatever you are listening to and make a ringing sound. To
answer the call, briefly press the
button again when you want to end the call. If you were
listening to content stored on your phone, Voca will switch
back to whatever you were listening to previously.
Rejecting an incoming call
If you receive a call that you do not want to answer, hold down
