Quick Start Guide
Press th e Power Button for more than 3 seconds to tur n on the radio. The
green power in dicator illuminates.
Move the WiFi / FM Radio switch on the top of the radio to WiFi.
The radi o autom at icall y scans for loca l WiFi ne twork acce ss points and
presents a lis t.
Select your c hosen WiFi network using the Control Wheel and press Select
Button.
If unprotected and unsecured, the radio will conn ect and start to operate.
If a secure network is chosen, you will be prompted to enter yo ur network
security ke y or pass phrase. Choo se the de si red opti on and en te r your
wireless secur ity details accordingly.
NOTE: This security key or p assphrase is found from your wireless router.
See your wirel ess router for details.
To enter the ke y, tur n the Co ntrol Wheel an ticlockwi se for lette rs and
clockwise for numbers.
Press Select B utton after each individual ch aracter is entered.
Press and hold Select Button (>3 seconds) to ent er the completed key or
passphras e.
The Prefe rre d Station will then start to play if th e netwo rk connect ion is
made correctly.
Once co nne cti on is mad e, press Back Button to access the Ma in Menu
and start to explore the world of Inter net Radio to the full.
FM Radio
Move the WiFi / FM Radio switch on the top of the radio to FM.
Press the Back Button to access the FM Main Menu.
Use th e Cont rol Wh eel to navigat e down to Auto Program press Selec t
Button.
Press Select Button to delete previously stored chan nels an d scan for new
radio sta tions.

Introduction
Thanks for purchasing the Promate iRadio ! Now you can listen to more than 12,000 radio st ations from all over the world. These stations cover all kinds of subjects li ke entertainment, news, music, sports, etc. We hope you will enjoy it to the full.
The iRadio works by using the internet to connect to a datab ase of radio sta tio ns, know n as a porta l. This porta l is sup plied by vTuner, th e world leader in this field. Once a specific radio station is selected on the iRadio, a direct conn ection is established between the radio station it self and your iRadio an d the enjoyment begins.

The FM radio (with RDS facility) is provided as a backup, for when a WiFi connectio n is not available.

WiFi / FM Switch Switches mode between WiFi / FM radio recep tion.
Back Butt on Press to go ba ck to the previous menu.
Volume Co ntrol
Adjust th e volume control. “+” means increasing t he volume, “ -” means decreasing the volume.
Power But ton Power on / off the iRadio (>3 seconds).
Hold Swit ch
Lock all of the buttons except the WiF i / FM Switch to avoid acc idental adjustment.
Earphone Jack
Connect earphones to listen to the radio or c onnect to an external speaker system.
LCD Displ ay Screen th at display contents.
Select Bu tton Press the knob to confirm sel ections.
Control W heel
Turn to ente r menu selections / navigate through selection s.
Reset But ton
If the de vice fails to function properly, press the button to reset the r adio.

iRadio Display Types
Normal Screen
The normal screen is the default screen generated when the unit is powered on. It displays the station name and icons for WiFi signal strength, streaming media format / preset number / frequency and battery status. It also displays any additional text available for the currently selected sta tion in a scrolling information area.

Menu Screen
A menu screen displays a list of options, with the currently selected option shown highlighted. If more than four options are available, up and down arrows are displayed on the right hand side of the screen.

Information Screen
Information screens are used to display messages to the user. They time out after 5 seconds, unless they are used to indicate progress via a progress bar.

Query Screen
A query screen is used to offer the user a choice. Queries are worded so that you can respond with a yes (Select) or a no (Back).
