Hot Water Super Kettle Model: PAP400

Prior to First Use

Remove all packing materials from the inside and outside of the Super Kettle
BOIL FRESH WATER INSIDE THE SUPER KETTLE ONCE AND DISCARD
THE BOILED WATER BEFORE NORMAL USE. This is the best way to clean away any dust, debris or manufacturing residue, which could affect the taste of the water.

Always use the appliance on a heat-resistant, flat surface.
Open the lid by lifting the lid release lever
Fill the Super Kettle with the desired quantity of cold water between the Min. and
Max. level.
Close the lid.
Plug the Super Kettle into the wall socket – the BOIL INDICATOR should light. If
it doesn’t press the ‘REBOIL’ button.
When the water has boiled, the Super kettle will switch to keep hot mode automatically and the KEEP WARM light will illuminate.
From cold it takes approximately 45 minutes to boil 4 litres of water.
There are 3 ways to dispense the hot water depending upon your

the WATER PUMP until the desired amount of water is dispensed.

start and dispense the required amount of water If the water level falls below the REFILL LEVEL, refill the kettle and press the REBOIL button. (READ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES FIRST)

Cleaning

It is extremely important to remember that cleaning of the Super Kettle can only
be performed when the plug has been removed from the supply.
Never immerse any part of the product into water.
Cleaning should be performed when the product has cooled down.
Always ensure the electrical connections of the product remain absolutely dry.
Clean the Kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use cleaning products, which can
cause health hazard or discoloration of the Kettle.
Ensure the outside and the electrical connection parts of the Kettle are completely dry before using.

De- scaling – IMPORTANT WARRANTY ISSUE

It is VITAL to de-scale the Kettle at regular intervals in order to maintain its looks and efficiency. Limescale build up severely inhibits the performance of concealed element Kettles such as this one. Your warranty does NOT cover faults, which are a result of limescale build-up.
The frequency of de-scaling will depend upon the area in which you live
There are many de-scaling powders and tablets available in supermarkets &
hardware stores. Just follow the instructions on the packet. However, you should bear in mind that most descaling powders or tablets are based on treating a 2litre kettle. Where one tablet is specified you should use 3 or 4 to allow for the much bigger capacity of the Kettle.
Always rinse thoroughly after descaling.
Important Safety Notes
Always unplug the Kettle in the following situations: -
- Before cleaning
- After use
- Before pouring water
Do not unplug the Kettle by pulling the cable cord.
Never place the Kettle in a tilted position.
When dispensing water, always hold the cup as close to the WATER
DISPENSER as possible. This prevents undue splashing of hot water.
Keep the Kettle out of reach of children.
Improper use of Kettle may result in serious scald.
As there is boiling water inside the Kettle, always ensure the lid is securely
fitted whenever Kettle is turned on or hot water is inside.
Be careful of hot steam when lifting the lid for refilling
Never switch on the Kettle when the water level inside is higher than the
indicated maximum level or lower than the minimum level. Otherwise, this will cause water spillage and damage to the heating element respectively. Though there is a cut-off device if the Kettle overheats, allowing the unit to boil dry will eventually damage the heating element.
Avoid touching the exterior of the Kettle as it will be very hot.
Never place the Kettle on a hot surface.
If the supply cord of this appliance is damaged, it must only be replaced by
Prima.
