Service & Warranty
Cautions
(See Warranty inside back cover)
Do not attempt to service PrecisionPower products yourself. Performing exploratory surgery on your audio equipment yourself will void the warranty. Many parts of your PrecisionPower gear are custom built to our specifications. Our factory parts are not made available to anyone else nor are they for sale. Our goal is to make sure that your PrecisionPower product will always sound as good as the day it was purchased. Contact your authorized PrecisionPower dealer about obtaining any warranty service through PrecisionPower .
High-powered car audio systems may produce sound pressure levels that exceed the threshold at which hearing loss may result. They may also impair a driver's ability to hear traffic sounds or emergency vehicles. Use common sense and practice safe listening habits when listening to or adjusting your audio system.

Functions And Operations:
1. Power, Ground, & Remote Disconnect: Secure +12V constant power, ground, and factory
source unit remote turn-on (if available) connections to the appropriate terminal of the supplied disconnect plug.
2. Remote Control Module Connection: Connect one end of the supplied Remote Control Module Cable to this port. The other end should connect to the Remote Control Module.
3. Delayed Remote Turn-On: Connect a lead to the remote turn-on terminals of the other components in the audio system. This remote turn-on has a built-in delay to eliminate unwanted pops.
4. Radio Ground: Connecting a wire from this terminal to the Radio's ground wire will eliminate ground loops and eliminate or greatly reduce this type of induced noise.
5. Front High Level Input: Connect the front left and front right factory source unit speaker level outputs to the High Level Front Input terminals. (consult the vehicle manufacturer for the correct factory source unit wire configuration)
6. Rear High Level Input: Connect the rear left and rear right source unit speaker level outputs to the High Level Rear Input terminals. (consult the vehicle manufacturer for the correct factory source unit wire configuration)
7. High Level Subwoofer Input: Connect the subwoofer source unit speaker level outputs to the High Level Subwoofer Input terminals. If the factory stereo system does not have a subwoofer and subwoofer control within the source unit, set the Subwoofer Source Selector to 4 Ch. Mix, eliminating the need for a High Level Subwoofer Input connection. See #11 Subwoofer Source Selector below for further information.
8. Signal Sense Indicator: The Current Sense Indicator will illuminate if the processor has been activated by receiving power from the remote input, or sensing audio signal to the high-level inputs. Signal sensing eliminates the need to connect remote turn-on power. A built-in delay prevents the processor from turning off between song tracks. The processor remains active approximately 1 minute after audio signal is lost.
9. Clipping Indicator: The Clipping Indicator will illuminate if the Low Level Output signal is clipped regardless of voltage. A clipped signal is noticeable to a trained ear in the form of distortion, which can and will cause damage to all speakers.
10. Power Indicator: The Power Indicator will illuminate when and while the unit is receiving power.
11. Subwoofer Source Selector Set the Subwoofer Source Selector to High Level Sub In if the factory source unit has speaker level outputs and source unit control for a factory subwoofer. Connect the factory source unit subwoofer speaker level outputs to the High Level Subwoofer Input terminals. If the source unit does not have subwoofer control or dedicated subwoofer high level output wires, then set the Subwoofer Source Selector to 4 Ch. Mix. The processor will now use the signal from the Front & Rear High Level Inputs as the subwoofer signal.
12. Front Channel Input Sensitivity: Set the Front Channel Input Sensitivity to closely match the factory source units maximum front channel output voltage. The minimum setting is 4V, the maximum is 30V. You can use the clipping indicator to help properly set this control. If the clipping indicator lights up frequently, then turn the control down a bit until the clipping indicator remains off.
13. Rear Channel Input Sensitivity: Set the Rear Channel Input Sensitivity to closely match the factory source units maximum front channel output voltage. The minimum setting is 4V, the maximum is 30V. You can use the clipping indicator to help properly set this control. If the clipping indicator lights up frequently, then turn the control down a bit until the clipping indicator remains off.
14. Subwoofer Channel Input Sensitivity: Set the Subwoofer Channel Input Sensitivity to closely match the factory source units maximum front channel output voltage. The minimum setting is 4V, the maximum is 30V. You can use the clipping indicator to help properly set this control. If the clipping indicator lights up frequently, then turn the control down a bit until the clipping indicator remains off.
15. Subsonic Filter Control: Set the Subsonic Filter Control to the desired subsonic filter frequency. The minimum frequency is 15Hz, the maximum is 50Hz, Generally, subsonic filters are set between 20-30Hz to avoid harmful low frequencies that will damage subĀ woofers. The power wasted on subsonic frequencies will now be useful in the audible sub bass region.
16. Bass Boost Level Control: This control allows you to set the amount of boost desired. Be careful not to overdrive the subwoofer and pay attention to the clipping indicator.
17. Boost Q Level: will increase or decrease the bandwidth of frequencies boosted above and below the selected Bass Boost Frequency. The minimum setting of Narrow will boost only a small range of frequencies above and below the Bass Boost Frequency, while the maximum setting of Wide will boost the largest range of frequencies above and below the Bass Boost Frequency.
18. Bass Boost Frequency Control: The Bass Boost Frequency Control will select the desired frequency to be boosted. The minimum frequency is 30Hz and the maximum
is 80Hz.
19. Low-Level Front, Rear & Subwoofer Outputs: RCA connections for Low-Level Front, Rear, & Subwoofer Output signal. Use RCA cables to connect the RCA outputs to the low-level inputs of the corresponding amplifier(s) if the source unit is equipped with RCA outputs.

Power
If the unit does not turn-on, and / or the power indicator LED is NOT illuminated, do this:
1) Check and make sure that B+ and GND are not reversed.
2) Check that all power wires are properly connected and have 12 - 15 volts.
3) Check that the fuse is intact.
If you experience high audible distortion or low output volume:
1) Check that the input and output levels are set correctly. Input should match the source and output should match the sensitivity of the host.
2) Check the crossover settings; make sure they are correct.
If you experience whining or engine noises:
1) Verify that the GND connection is secure and the wire is not too thin and unnecessarily long.
2) Check that the B+ wire is not too thin and unnecessarily long.
3) Change the power source; try taking power from a different point.
