FEATURES OF THE RTi TOWERS AND BOOKSHELF LOUDSPEAKERS:
• Acoustically inert 3/4" MDF cabinets, finished in Cherry wood or Black Oak veneers.
• Dynamic Balance
®
polymer composite drivers for smooth wide-range response with low distortion.
• PowerPort bass venting (RTi8) & PowerPort Plus bass venting (RTi10 & RTi12) for superior clean, low distortion bass that you can really feel.
• Acoustic Resonance Control
™
(ARC Port) technology in the RTi12 for more natural midrange reproduction.
• 1" silk dome tweeters with neodymium magnets for clear, detailed highs.
•RTi10 & RTi12 tower models feature combined sets of 7" woofers. This allows for the surface area of large woofers, but the action of small woofers
for a high force-to-mass ratio—bass response is tighter, punchier, more accurate.
• PowerPort vent, on bookshelf speaker models, doubles as a strong, built-in wall-mounting bracket for easy, safe placement.
• Butyl rubber surrounds for high performance durability.
• Acoustically inert stamped driver baskets.
• Anti-diffraction grilles minimize grille diffraction for spacious, 3-dimensional imaging.
• Magnetic shielding for safe placement near video sources.
• Mylar bypass capacitors in the crossovers extend high frequency response and improve detail and transparency.
• Dual, bi-ampable gold-plated 5-way binding post inputs (with large diameter holes for large-gauge bare wire connections)
for the most secure connections and the most versatile wiring applications.
•Tower models feature adjustable leveling feet in an outrigger base to provide stability on any type of flooring.
•Timbre-matched to fit into any Polk Audio home theater or multi-channel music system for a more realistic,
more seamless surround sound environment.
SAFE LIMITS OF OPERATION
Your Polk Audio Loudspeakers are constructed of the highest quality materials for years of trouble-free performance. However, damage
to loudspeakers can occur when an amplifier, regardless of its wattage, is made to play at higher listening levels than its power can clearly
produce. This is usually beyond the “noon or 1 o’clock” position on the volume control. Operation at this level can result in very high levels
of audible distortion originating in the amplifier, which can add a harsh, gritty sound to your listening material. If you hear distortion,
TURN IT DOWN. Contrary to popular belief, a speaker is more likely to be damaged by trying to get too much volume from a low-powered
amplifier or receiver than from a high-powered one.
