Safety Precautions
It is very important to read through the following safety precautions before using your waterproof camera case in order to guarantee human safety and to avoid product damage.
1 In the event water leakage is observed while using the camera case, immediately stop using it and remove it from the water. Failure to do so may cause an electrical or fire hazard. Use a soft, clean cloth to remove any water from the interior of the camera case. Before returning the case to the water, follow the directions under the title INSPECTING THE WATER SEAL contained within the heading titled Caring for Your Waterproof Case and Your Camera.
2 Remove your camera from the waterproof camera case if it is not to be used for an extended length of time.
3 Avoid leaving the waterproof camera case in strong sunlight, near heat or fire. Doing so may cause the camera case to deform and thereby create a water leakage.
4 Do not use the waterproof camera case in hot water (in excess of 100°F).
5 Do not use the neck strap when you are diving with the waterproof camera case. It may become entangled and cause strangulation or other mishaps.
6 Do not use the waterproof camera case at depths exceeding 131 feet.
7 Do not attempt to make any alteration to the camera case as it may affect its waterproof performance.
8 Do not apply excessive force to the camera case body or its buttons.
9 Inspect the water seal O-ring before using the waterproof camera case. (See the section titled INSPECTING THE WATER SEAL.)
10 Do not throw or drop the waterproof camera case. 11 Do not use any water sealing compound on the O-ring other than the one that comes with the waterproof camera case; failure to do so may adversely affect its water sealing performance. If this happens, wipe it off and apply the water sealing compound that was provided in the package. 12 Avoid inserting or removing your camera in hot or wet
locations. 13 Avoid using the waterproof camera case in a high
temperature environment for too long a period of time. 14 In the event of a large difference between air temperature
and water temperature, water droplets (condensation) may occur inside the camera case, and the water may damage the camera. If condensation is discovered, remove the camera case from the water and clean the inside of it with a soft, clean cloth before putting it back to use.
TESTING THE WATERPROOF CASE
Before using the Polaroid waterproof case, verify that it is indeed waterproof.
1 Check that the O-ring is free of dirt or sand particles. Then, close the case without a camera in it.
2 Dip the case in at least eight inches of clear water for at least five minutes to ensure there are no leaks.
3 Repeat step two with your camera enclosed in the case. Check for leaks.
4 If a water leak is observed, remove the camera from the case and follow the directions the title INSPECTING THE WATER SEAL contained within the heading titled Caring for Your Waterproof Case and Your Camera. If the problem still exists, contact the retailer from which it was purchased.

Caring for Your Waterproof Case and Your Camera
Please be sure to read through the following safety precautions before using your Pola roid waterproof camera case.
INSPECTING THE WATER SEAL
1 Before using the case with your camera, inspect the O-ring. 2 Check to be certain that there is no dirt or foreign particle
either on the O-ring or in the groove of its mating surface on the front cover. Look for such things as sand or dirt particles, hair, small bits of metal or paper.
3 Inspect the O-ring for nicks or cuts. 4 Be sure the O-ring hasn’t been flattened or deformed in
any way. 5 If you have reason to remove the O-ring, follow the
instructions in the next section, REMOVING THE 0-RING.
REMOVING THE O-RING
1 Follow the O-ring grove around to the middle of the hinged side of the rear case. A cut out has been provided to allow easier and safer removal of the O-ring.
2 Remove the O-ring at the cut out with your fingers or a blunt instrument such as a toothpick.
3 Do not stretch the O-ring. Stretching will cause the O-ring to leave gaps for water leakage.
4 Clean the O-ring by flushing it with fresh water and gently remove dirt using your fingers.
5 Apply one drop of water sealing grease that came with the Polaroid waterproof camera case and wipe it along the entire length of the O-ring using two fingers pulling from one direction until the circumference of the O-ring has been covered. The sealing compound must evenly cover the O-ring. Do not overstretch the O-ring while applying the grease.
Note: Use only your clean fingers to apply the grease. Using paper, a cloth or similar material will not coat the O-ring evenly.
6 Applying too much water sealing compound may cause water leakage.
7 Carefully return the O-ring to its groove on the rear cover. 8 It is a good idea to remove, clean and lubricate the O-ring on a regular basis to ensure that the camera case retains its leak-proof performance. 9 It is recommended that the O-ring be replaced once a year
regardless of its condition.

AFTER USE MAINTENANCE
1 After using the waterproof case for underwater photography or out in the rain or snow, the exterior of the case should be wiped dry with a clean, soft cloth.
2 Remove your camera from the case. 3 Close and lock the empty case . 4 Now use plenty of fresh, clean water to rinse the case thoroughly. Water should not exceed 100°F; hotter water may damage the case. 5 If the camera case was used in sea water, a longer
cleaning time is required. Allow the case to soak for a few hours before wiping it dry. Be sure the entire case remains submerged.
6 To eliminate the possibility of scratching the case, be sure there are no particles of sand or dirt on the case or on the cleaning cloth when wiping the case.
7 Open the case and clean the interior by gently wiping all surfaces with a clean, dry cloth.
