TP-Fiber (Multi-mode)
IEEE802.3 Ethernet Converter
1.Overview
IEEE802.3 10Mbps Ethernet Converter supports 10Base-T and 10Base-FL media for network connection. The media converter is used to convert 10Base-T electrical signal to 10Base-FL optical signal that allows two type segments connect easily and inexpensively. This converter can be used as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module to the 10/19" Media Chassis (up to 7/10/15 units) for use at a central wiring closet.

6.Port connection
ET-508 support Half/Full-duplex mode operation, auto-negotiation in TP port that
can double the bandwidth, please make sure the FL- end - device also support
full-duplex and set to it as well.
Port Connection method
Fiber Port: Attach the fiber cable. The Tx, Rx fiber cable must be

Note:
if you are going to connect the TP port to a 10/100Mbps Ethernet device It is
strongly recommend to set the connecting mode to fixed 10Mbps full-duplex or 10Mbps half-duplex.
paired at both ends
Attach UTP Cat. 3 or 5 cable to TP port MPR: To a Hub or Switch DTE: To a workstation or NIC
7.Duplex Mode Support
The ET-508 is a transparent / single-channel media converter between 10Base-T and 10Base-FL. The 10Base-T port can only work under 10Mbps with auto-negotiation or fixed 10Mbps full/half duplex mode. To connectect its TP port with 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation device may failed in connection. After the TP port is link up then the 10Base-FL fiber port will link up accordingly.
Note:
The correct work mode of ET-508 must connect TP port and fiber port
properly under 10Mbps with auto-negotiation or fixed 10Mbps full/half duplex mode.
