INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Disconnect Appliance

 Remove all sources of power to the appliance.
 Drain any oil from the cook tank.
 If appliance has a gas connection, turn the gas

supply OFF and disconnect the appliance from
its gas connection.

WARNING

The power supply MUST be disconnected

before performing this procedure.

WARNING (Gas Models Only)

Ensure that the gas supply to this appliance is

turned off before performing this procedure.

STEP 2: Remove Old Top Plate

 Using a 7/16” wrench remove the screws holding the lift rods to the top plate. Hold the

lift rods to prevent the bottom assembly from falling into the tank after disassembly.

 Lift the top plate off the basket lift post and remove.

STEP 3: Install New Top Plate

 Place the new top plate (Item 1) onto the basket lift post as shown.
 Press down firmly to assure that the top plate is fully seated onto the basket lift post.
 Secure the top plate to the lift rods using a 7/16” wrench.

STEP 4: Remove Old Lift Arm

 Using a 5/16” nut driver loosen the upper 2 screws

securing the lift arm to the lift rods. Leave the
lower 2 screws intact.

 Pull down firmly to remove the lift arm from the

appliance.

WARNING

Never loosen or remove the lift arm

while oil is still in the cook tank.

STEP 4: Install New Lift Arm

 The new lift arm looks very similar to the old lift arm. Inspect the lift arms to assure that

the correct lift arm is being installed.
