9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. To turn on the Performer active speaker set the power switch to the on (I) position. To turn the Performer off, set the switch to the off position (o). Make sure the volume control is turned down all the way before you turn the power on or off.
