Playback Features
Digital Auto Tracking System
When tape playback begins, this feature automatically seeks the optimum
tracking position in the tracking range, and the optimum audio signal
tracking position for clearest picture and sound. Buttons on the remote
transmitter give you manual control should tracking adjustments
be necessary.
Auto Head Cleaner
Gently, automatically cleans the video heads each time a tape is inserted
or removed to maintain optimum picture performance during playback.
Rental Play
Get your money’s worth from “well-used” rental tapes by improving the
picture quality. Activate Rental Play, relax, and enjoy your favorite video
with exceptional clarity and smooth, even detail.
Convenience
AC/DC Operation
Using supplied cords, this model operates on both ordinary household
120-volt current (AC) or direct current (DC) available through car,
boat, or RV.
Indefinite Repeat Play
When the VCP recognizes no recorded signal or reaches the end of a
tape with the Repeat Play control activated,it automatically rewinds to
the beginning and enters the play mode again. Repeat Play continues
indefinitely until it is disabled by the operator.To disable Repeat Play,
press the button a second time or change the operation mode.
Rapid Start Mechanism
Quickly and effortlessly switches the tape mechanism from Stop to Play
in only 1 second, instead of the approximately 5 1/4 seconds of older
models.
Rear Panel Audio/Video/Game Input/Output Jacks
Connect your VCP to the direct audio and video inputs of a television
receiver or monitor equipped with input jacks, for better picture and
sound quality during tape playback. Jacks also allow a second VCR to
be connected for editing and/or duplicating personally recorded,
non-copyrighted videotapes.
Dew Sensor
Automatically senses any condensation on the video head and inhibits all
functions until the moisture dissipates, protecting the player and your
videotape library from accidental damage. Condensation often occurs in
humid climates or in colder climates when a portable unit is moved
from a car, boat,or RV to an indoor environment where the air is
warmer than the previous location. If moisture is detected when power
is applied,“Dew Protection–Please Wait” flashes onscreen in bold, red
letters alerting you to potential danger.
Special Effects
5x Forward/Reverse Search
Search in forward or reverse mode at 5 times normal playing speed in
SLP.The search feature provides continuous forward or reverse search
with a single touch of the control.A second touch stops the search
operation and returns the unit to the Play mode.
